The Past Can Be Haunting

Chapter 5

TW // Blood, nightmares, panic attack, mentions of throwing up

5up watches his boyfriend leave the hotel and is way more confused than when he got here. Don't get him wrong he's happy he finally found him but then why did Fundy treat him similarly to a stranger. It reminded 5up of before they got together so 5up can assume attraction is still there but he can't be sure memories are. Why else would Fundy introduce himself to 5up?

Also, Fundy attempted to lie to him. Why would he do that if he remembered? Fundy only did that when he did something he shouldn't. Fundy learned early on that he couldn't successfully lie to 5up.

5up drinks his tea as he thinks. He tries replaying the conversation in his head and the only thing giving him hope was Fundy's staring. Seeing him flustered was adorable. 5up found it funny that even if Fundy didn't seem to remember he was still easy to fluster. 5up didn't even have to do anything.

"You don't have to go if you don't want to," Jack Manifold states. 5up is a bit confused before realizing what he meant. Jack Manifold thinks 5up is concerned about the offer. Which he is but that wasn't on his mind at the moment.

"How did they know about me?" 5up asks in curiosity. He hadn't been here too long but from his knowledge, besides Fundy, he hadn't spoken to anyone from Las Nevadas before.

"Not too sure," Jack Manifold shrugs."All I know is that under Big Q's orders, Fundy had been looking for you all day."

"Why me?" 5up questions.

"Really don't know why you think I would know something. Just ask them tomorrow when you go check the place out, " Jack Manifold says, continuing to read his book.

"Also that Fundy guy was bending the truth. I'm not sure how much of his sentence was a lie, but part of it definitely was," 5up states. Until he figures out what is up with Fundy he'll keep pretending they just met.

Jack Manifold looks a bit surprised at 5up's statement. "What?" 5up asks.

"Just surprised you could tell. Fundy is one of the best liars I know. But if I were to guess he was lying about being sent for a tour. He never mentioned that when walking in but the other stuff he did," Jack Manifold explains. 5up nods to acknowledge that he heard him.

"Why would he feel the need to lie about that. It makes no logical sense," 5up tries to reason with himself aloud. Jack Manifold chooses not to give a response. He starts to toon 5up out as he starts to ramble about the interaction.

"Sorry Jack Manifold I would hang out more but it seems I'll have a busy day tomorrow so I'm off to bed," 5up explains when he finishes his tea. He hands the empty cup over before bidding goodnight and heading to his room.

5up ends up falling asleep theorizing what would cause Fundy to forget and hopes to think about how he could get him to remember.

5up feels that his hands are sticky. It is a stickiness that feels horrifyingly familiar. But he can't quite place what the feeling is. He opens his eyes and looks around to see blood everywhere around him. He's confused as to where it was all coming from. Why was there so much? How would this have happened?

It takes 5up a minute to look down to see his hands covered in blood. He feels sick once he realizes that the blood was the familiar feeling on his hands. He could tell it was fresh. But it was everywhere. He still can't tell what caused all this. Wasn't he just in his hotel room? Why does he feel grass surrounding his feet?

Once the scent of fresh blood entered his senses 5up felt like he was going to throw up. He feels dizzy. He wonders if he'll pass out or throw up first.
