Fundy wakes up as the sun is rising. But only physically awake he feels dead on his feet as he makes himself some coffee before getting ready for the day. As he is drinking his coffee he remembers why he forced himself up this morning. He was on a mission to find the new server member and invite them to Las Nevadas. Fundy can only hope this goes by fast and he can get home to his son before dark.
Fundy packs his armor and weapons just to be safe, some extra food if he has to stay at the greater SMP longer than expected, then some extra wood. Before he leaves he goes to say goodbye to Yogurt.
When he walks in, Yogurt is still asleep. A bit disappointed, Fundy goes to give his son a kiss goodbye on the head when the kid flutters his eyes awake.
"Sorry snowflake, I didn't mean to wake you," Fundy whispers as he kisses his son on the forehead.
"It's okay Papa," Yogurt says, not fully awake.
"Well, I just came to say goodbye. Once you wake up go see Purpled or Foolish, okay?" Fundy whispers to his son.
"Yeah, see you later papa," Yogurt says, giving a little nod.
"See you later snowflake," Fundy gives his last goodbye. On his way out he leaves some food out for when Yogurt gets up and starts on his mission.
He doesn't know whether to be happy or annoyed that he doesn't run into anyone as he makes his way to the L'manhole. He may not feel like talking to people but he needs to know where this new person may be. When he gets to his first destination of the day he has run into no one.
The look of his old home is different from the last time he was here. It feels more peaceful than a simple hole in the ground. Fundy can't place why but as he walks across the bridge he decides he hates it. He hates how it feels like if there wasn't a giant flag at the bottom it would be natural. Even then with a look, he wouldn't be able to tell the history of this land and that thought just makes me uncomfortable.
Fundy doesn't notice someone walk up next to him as he stares at the flag. "It's an interesting change, is it not?" They say when they reach Fundy's side. Fundy jumps and turns to see Eret with a bittersweet smile on his face.
"That's one way of putting it," Fundy responds quietly. Eret gives Fundy a sympathetic smile.
"What are you doing here of all places?" Eret asks. She hadn't seen Fundy since the banquet. Seeing the man now makes her wish she reached out to check on him.
"I'm actually looking for someone. Have you heard of a new member on the server?" Fundy says making sure to tear his eyes away from the flag.
"I actually haven't, sorry," Eret regretfully replies.
"That's okay," Fundy shrugs.
"Why are you looking for them? Especially here of all places," Eret asks Fundy. They want to keep the fox around a little longer if possible. It had been so long since they last talked to one another. And it is nice to satisfy their own curiosity.
"Quackity wants to recruit them to Las Nevadas, they were spotted here two days ago," Fundy answers
"Well I'll let you know if I see any unfamiliar faces wandering around," Eret says.
"Thanks, Eret," Fundy says, giving a small smile. They wave each other goodbye and Fundy continues his search.
Fundy starts walking down the path away from the ruins when he spots Puffy in the distance. He sighs before running up calling her name. "Puffy!"
She starts looking around for who called out to her when she sees Fundy waving at her. "Oh Fundy, what do you need?" Puffy asks. She keeps her voice kind so as to not scare him off with her recent bad mood.
