I was a mixture between confusion and shock when I felt that my heart swelled with all its broken pieces. Yet when his figure came into the lighting of the moon, it shattered. His stature was immense, broad and muscled, unlike the one I would have expected from Ryan. The tone of his hair was the same dark chocolate as Ryan's was. His eyes were as petrified as the haunted disc of a moon that hung in the sky. There were distinct features in his face that reminded me of Ryan. His lips, his hair, his jawline.

I cocked my head to the side, staring at him with wide eyes. Who was this bloke?

I kept pursing my lips, wanting to say something, but my brain was just registering the tangle of my madness. Maybe I was hallucinating. I shook my head and blinked hard, nope. He was still there. And he was walking straight towards me.

Fury lit through my veins when I saw that it wasn't who I had expected. Not the joyful reunion with my beloved soon to have been fiancé. None of the embracing, the kissing, the happiness to mend my heart. Never would that happen.

All because of a demon, a demon I had sold my soul to. The bloke stood before me examining me the same way, I was the first to finally get a grip on my anger and speak carefully,''Who are you?''

The strange man mirrored my action and shook his head as though he were waking up from a dream. He stood tall and stared into my eyes,''Daniel Cast. You are Sparrow.''

He furrowed his brows and it seemed as though he were fighting with inner demons, until he shook his head uncontrollably. His voice had sounded hesitant of what he said. Incredibly uncertain.

''You have got to be kidding me,'' I muttered as I pressed my palm against my forehead and gripped into the roots of my hair. Dashing from left to right, I let out a frustrated groan and repeated the demon's words in my mind.

You will receive one, one family member of my choosing.

Had I not been so naive, with believing that that demon could not have fooled me, then I wouldn't be in this situation. The man that was standing before me, was Ryan's great, great, great uncle. I cursed insanely in Scottish, muttering death threats and vanities towards the ground.

Daniel cocked his head to the side and gazed at me with a perplexed expression spelled on his face,''Pardon, please?''

I shook my head and waved a dismissive gesture at him with my hand,''Nothing, get into the car. I have to see someone.''

Daniel couldn't seem to even comprehend what a car was. I pointed to my dad's livid, pitched Mustang, and began walking towards it. However, as I had anticipated, Daniel was still in disbelief with his eyes when he stared at the car. It astonished me that he had on Blue Jeans and a plaid, red shirt, because he obviously was not made for this century.

''Come on! Get in!'' I growled, my Scottish roots setting in with my words when I shut the car door. Daniel was almost hesitant, when he walked to cross the side of the garage. I waited until he had gotten in to shake the car to life.
