Chapter 15

We moved towards the Box Office and we chose to watch a horror movie. That's what I found strange about Nandini now.

I first saw the movies which were screened in the theater. There were 2 rom-com movies and 1 horror movie. Nandini peaked from behind me see the movie choices. Did I ever mention that my mate is very cute.

"Manik let's watch this horror movie. I wanted to watch it after watching the trailer", she said while looking at me.

Nandini loved to watch horror genre movies. Now that something which I'll remember. I too like to watch horror movies but Cabir and Aliyah hates them. So we would never watch horror movie if we go to watch or have movie nights.

"I too wanted to watch it. But I didn't know that you liked the horror genre. I was thinking of watching anyone of this rom-com movies with you", I said with I smirk on my face.

She chuckled, "Then Mr. Malhotra, you need to work very hard to know more things about me." I smiled. "Then Ms. Murthy, we need to go for more dates like this. As I'll know more about you through such dates right."

She blushed a little and looked in my eyes, "Well that's not a bad idea. I also need to know more about you."

"Oh My Dear God! Repeat after me Manik. It's a Green signal. A Green Signal"

My wolf was going mad in my head. So I just blocked him.

I looked at Nandini and smiled. That's definitely a green signal for me.

God I have definitely gone mad. 'A girl needs to know what to say and what not to say', that's what my mom used to say.

Well that saying doesn't apply to me anymore now since I have said some mean and disgusting things to my friends and enemies back in Mumbai. Anyway, I don't know what happens to me when Manik is with me.

I knew have these feelings for him, which are for a person whose more than a friend. When he asked to go with him for more dates I couldn't say no to that. Plus I want to know more things about him too.

Since none of our friends are coming now we choose a horror movie and went inside. I really like horror movies, even if they are creepy and gruesome. That's something interesting about these movies.

We took our tickets and bought our popcorn and drink and sat on out scene. After few commercials the movie started and we both got engrossed in it.

There were times when Manik would come near my ear to tell me something about the movie and I would do the same too. But it was cute to see him bend his ear to my level so that I can successfully tell him something in his ear.

Looking at us no one would say that we meet about a week ago. It definitely looked like we knew each other for a long time. And I sometimes do feel that we are somehow connected to one another. Call it my gut feeling or just my random imagination.

In the middle of the movie Manik laced his finger to mine. I looked at him to see that he's looking at me too. I too looked at him and tightened the hold. I smiled at him and he smiled back at me. We then continued to watch the movie.

Even after the movie was over Manik didn't untangle our hand. "Where should we go to eat now? Do have anything in mind? " He asked as we walked out of the theater.

"Manik if you don't remember let me remind you again, it's been only more than a week now since I have come here. How will I know which restaurant is good?" I said while looking at me.

He then nodded agreeing with me. "Okay, then their this nice continental restaurant which I know. Should we go there now."  I then nodded my head saying that I don't have any problem going there.

Once we reached his car, he opened the door for me, the same way like he did while picking me up. I smiled at him and sat inside. He closed the door for me and came running to his side and started the car.

We had small talks regarding basketball and the team as we drove to the said restaurant. Once he parked his car he again came to my side and opened the door for me. I  would really like to get used to this chivalrous actions of Manik. I caught his hand and entangled our fingers as he tightened the hold and we walked to the restaurant entrance.

As we entered the guard near the door gave a small bow to Manik which he acknowledged with a nod. But why would that guard bow to him, and Manik didn't act like he was shocked. But why would he be used to this kind of action. He is some kind of a King. I also saw the receptionist bow a little too. What the heck is going on here.

She then came to us and showed us our table before bowing again and going. I mean if I was in a country like Japan then I won't be surprised. But in India we don't bow like that. We join hands and greet one another. Plus she was very polite when she spoke to Manik, like she was talking to someone who is in a higher position than her.

Manik first pull a chair to me waited till I sat after which he sat in front of me. A waitress again bowed and left us as she left a menu card on the table.

"Manik, why are those people bowing to you. Did you by chance once cosplayed or acted as a King?" I said while teasing him. But when I asked him this question he kind of froze to the chair and his eyes went wide open. He coughed,"Ahm. That's because Nandini it's very common form of greeting over here, in Shimla", he said nervously.

Bowing is common in Shimla? That's something new I have learnt. Maybe it's there. I mean I just settled here. There's a lot I need to learn about this place. So I just nodded saying that I understood what Manik has told me.

He then smiled and told me to choose anything from the menu and I then turned my concentration towards the menu. Now what should I get. I'm very hungry. Maybe a steak will be fine.

After we gave our order the waitress went with the menu. But strangely she did not bow now. Maybe they just bow when they meet for the first time. Maybe some research about the same would be good for me. It might look rude if I don't follow it. I'll do it once I reach home.
