I was totally captivated with that handsome piece of meat...ewww...what am I thinking?
But he sure was handsome. I kinda felt a strong connection, which is literally pulling me towards him, what was his name again, yeah, Manik. What a nice name.
The whole time he had his eyes on me, and mine on him. Something was literally screaming in my head, to go and kiss his inviting lips.
I was also very pleased to meet Navya. She was a fun, easy going and bubbly person and I actually found my first friend here in Shimla. She also told me that she goes to the same college where I have took an admission and that also her boyfriend Cabir, who seemed like a very funny guy, who'll make you laugh in any extremely serious matters, would be coming to the same college.
But the best news is that, Manik too is attending the same college. Awesome. After all introducing one another and having a small funny chat where the elders revealed many secrets which were kids didn't know, that was fun. Some were very funny where you couldn't actually control yourself from laughing.
Dad was really very happy to be back in his birth place and so was my mom, seeing him happy. The most embracing moment for me was when everyone was praising me for the food I made, I mean, I still lack some things while cooking. My mom cooks the best.
Well, I was happy too. I looked at Manik as I didn't hear him say anything about the food I made. But he looked at me and ducked his head down. Did he not like the food?
Dad and his friends Uncle Raj and Uncle Vishal made plans to play basketball after lunch, but mom and Nyonika auntie and Meghna auntie asked us to play after 4.00pm as we had just had food and as per them, it was not good to play soon after eating.
Well, we all again decided to talk for sometime. I looked at Manik and saw that he was talking to my dad. I sighed and got up and moved to our backyard where the basketball court was.

Thankfully there was a basket of balls already kept by by mom as it was 3.35pm now. I picked a ball and started to play with it. But, it was very difficult to play with this outfit. I will have to change it before playing it them.
"It will be better if you change your dress, as it's not letting you play the way you want."
I got startled and dropped the ball which I was planning to throw in the basket. I turned around and saw that it was Manik.
I smiled and replied,"I know. It's very difficult to play in this" , and I sighed. "It been so many days since I have played. I am really gonna miss my team from Mumbai."
He came on the court with a ball in his hands which he have taken from the huge basket. "Yeah Uncle said that you were in one team back in Mumbai. Why don't you play here too then."
I yet again smiled and replied, "You think I wouldn't have. I like basketball very much. But, it seems that there's no girls basketball team in S.P.A.C.E. Academy. Plus, I would also like to concentrate more on my photography now, since I have chosen that as my career".
He threw a ball in the basket. Wow..it's a three. I was never been able to score a three in my previous matches. I know, poor me.
"Your point, about no girl basketball team was correct. There is actually no involvements of girls in sports. I think we have to do something about it", he said in a serious tone.
"You don't have to do that Manik, and not just because of me, and I told you right, that I have to concentrate on photography so it's fine", I looked at him and smiled.
He too smiled looking at me and replied,"You got one thing wrong Nandini. I can do anything, to make you happy, without even thinking whether it right or wrong".
My eyes automatically widen up. Did hear it correctly. I mean he is willing to.
"Manik" Cabir came running towards him and whispered something in his ear to which made Manik smile vanish and was replaced with anger. I was complete confused. What's happening.
"OK. Let's go", Manik said to him and they were running inside. Confusing. I also ran inside and saw that everyone was kind of tensed.
Raj Uncle came to me and kept his hand on my head, "We'll see you later beta (child). We need to leave now". "But what about the game. Weren't we supposed to have match??", I asked in a polite voice.
"We'll have the game some other day sweetie", Vishal uncle replied with a sweet caring voice. I just nodded my head.
"Do you need my help Raj?" Dad asked in in a concerned voice. I am still confused. What has happened. "It's okay Yash. Stay with your family. I'll give u a call. Don't worry", Raj uncle replied with a pat on his back.
They all hugged each other before leaving. Navya came to me and gave me a tight hug. We went to our front veranda to say our good byes to them.
A looked at Manik and saw him looking at me with a sad look as of he didn't want me to leave him. And surprisingly I feel the same.
What is this weird feeling??
