Remembering the last time that broke me,
Snapped already fragile bones, let my inner spirit bleed
Failing to fortify all my walls.
That was my mistake, I admit.
Wanting nothing more than you to
Break them down or let them be,
Instead, chucking iron at the deep rocks that had been set for metaphorical centuries.
Now I will show you the second fault was yours.
Growing from battles, I wage war.
Looking over large ledges set high in the castle walls,
I watch for flashy shows of distractions ,for enemies lurking behind false wishes and I refuse to be led to deadly dreams
or to the destruction of my self-esteem.
I stand guard against trojan horses with manes like nooses for my heart and freedom
No, I will remain guarded. I will determine
Who is worthy of my presence who can be trusted with a queen's company.
A warrior has been formed: tried by fire of failure, yet
made glass by grace in grief,
I offer a challenge as great as the Greek epics: t
try to charge my castle, you will not fool me, you
will not succeed- viscous enemies disguised in glorious gifts.
Throw hammers, throw stones, blast cannons,
What can these do to walls embedded with metal?
You will not get behind these walls of Troy.
