(A/N - At first, I wanted to make the OC based on Kanao but, I've seen so many fanfics already that use her. So I change it to Qiqi even though my OC like normal milk instead of coconut milk. I don't know if coconut milk even exist yet during the time in the novel)

-Eve POV-
-Location: Outside of the Cave-

As soon as we step out of the cave, I was amazed at how beautiful the night sky is. Is this what she's been missing out on while being stuck in those cells? What happens if I didn't attract their attention? Would I have not been able to see this?

Those questions ran through her head while thinking of multiple possibilities. She breaks out of her trance when the blaring alarm suddenly stops. She turns around to look at the cave they came out of and back at the man that carries him before. She stares at him for a while before determining that the man holding her hand right now is strong.

-Third Person POV-

Choi Han can feel someone staring at him and turn toward the child. He looks into those empty and lonely eyes before asking her a question. "What's your name?" Cale was also looking at the child when Choi Han ask the question. It was never mentioned in <Birth of the Hero> that there's a child also being imprisoned and tortured other than the dragon. Then he remembers one line from the book.

<Sadly, the girl that was trapped there died after the cave collapsed on her. She couldn't even see the outside world.>

Cale, no, Kim Rok Soo ignores that sentence at first because it was his first time hearing about a girl. Before he can think more, the child started talking.

"My name is Eve. Eve is a zombie. Eve doesn't remember how old she is. She only knows that she died when she was seven years old." Her answer is short but it summarised everything they need to know about her. Choi Han gripped the handle of his sword tighter after hearing that the child that was in front of him died at the mere age of 7 years old.

On and Hong also felt sad for her since they're also 7 years old this year and seeing another child die at their age make them feel anger towards whoever kills her. Cale however, was staring at the child before turning toward the dragon in his arm. He took a deep breath while looking at the dragon and started to smile.

The rebellious gaze was gone, and the dragon was looking up at the night sky in admiration. This was the first time the dragon saw anything other than the cave walls in its four years of life. Cale understood what the dragon was feeling, and wanted to give it some more time, but he could not do that.

He put the dragon down on the grass and continued to look at it. The dragon looked right back at him. Its eyes were once again filled with anger and resentment, as it curled its body up and looked ready to attack.

“Hey.”

Cale made sure the dragon was looking at him, then took out a pair of gloves and some scissors-shaped cutting tools. There were a lot of magic seals on both of the blades for cutting. He then put on the electricity-resistant gloves.

Choi Han look beside him when he felt the child trembling. Eve was looking at the tools in Cale's hand and it reminded her of the same tool they use to cut her ear off before. Her trembling started to get worst before Choi Han gripped her hand tighter to calm her down.

Cale was thinking about the conversation he had with Billos, before realizing that his surroundings suddenly became extremely quiet. Choi Han was looking at the cutter with chaotic eyes, while the kitten siblings had moved away from Cale and were hiding behind Choi Han. The child however was trembling beside him and staring at him with her dull eyes.

The dragon was still just staring at him.

“Tsk.”

Cale clicked his tongue at their response and approached the dragon. The mana restriction chain was made with something similar to rubber. If it was made of metal, it would not have fit the growing dragon. That was why it was made of something with some elasticity.

He then grabbed the dragon’s neck.

The kittens took in a deep breath. However, Cale ignored them as he continued onward since it was better to do this as fast as possible. The cutter headed for the dragon’s neck. The sharp blade shone under the moonlight, and the dragon just paid attention to Cale’s eyes. Cale’s eyes were emotionless and peaceful.

The dragon closed its eyes.

At that moment, they all heard the snapping noise of something getting cut. And a sizzling sound can be heard. The mana restriction chain was causing sparks in Cale’s hands. “What are you looking at?”

Cale scoffed at the dragon that had opened its eyes back to look at him and took off one of the gloves and handed it to Choi Han. Choi Han put the glove on and Cale handed the chain to him before taking the potion out of his pocket.

It was the highest grade potion. Even this cost quite a bit to purchase. It made Cale feel bad for asking for an allowance the last few days before he left. Cale clicked his tongue and sharply stared at the dragon. “Do you know how much money I spent on you?”

Eve was looking at her bandages and wondered if she could live freely now that she's free from her imprisonment. She blocked out the noise of people talking and start to look around her surrounding. She doesn't want to burden the red-haired and black-haired male in front of her anymore after they save her.

She was pulled out of her thought when she felt people staring at her. She look around and saw people looking at her, expecting an answer. "What?" She asked while staring right back at the red-haired male. "What do you want to do now that you're free?" Cale asked the question once more.

Eve hesitated for a bit before answering his question. "I-I don't know..." She looks down at her feet and stared at them. Suddenly, On and Hong went towards her leg and speak.

"Let's bring her back with us!"

"We can't leave her alone out here!"
