Chapter 1

Lucas's POV

I know she hates me. She's like the only girl that does. That's why Mike will pay me if I get her to fall in love with me. I need the money.

I do this with all the girls. They all like me, so it's easy. Except Maya. She hates me along with Riley, but I'll get her to like me.

Maya's POV

"So how ru and Farkle?" I asked sitting down in my seat

"Great! He got me some flowers yesterday! They were so pretty!" Riley squealed

I sighed.

"That sounds great Riles!" I said trying to sound happy for her

I mean, I am happy for her, it's just I've never had a boyfriend before.

"Maya, you'll find a guy." Riley said trying to cheer me up

"Thank riles." I sighed

The bell rang and she sat down in her seat next to mine. Farkle walked in and gave Riley a kiss on the cheek. So cute. Then Lucas walked in.

I hate him. All the girls drool over him, but I don't see it. He just uses them for money or something, at least that's what everybody says.

"Hey baby." Lucas said putting his hand on my desk

I looked over at Riley. She looked at me and shrugged. I guess she doesn't know what's going on either.

"What?" I said

"I said hey-"

"I heard what u said. Don't call me that." I said

"Wow. Ok. Chill babe, I just said hey." Lucas laughed

"I'm not your "babe" asshole." I said

"Watch your language, babe." Lucas smirked as he walked behind me to get to his seat

I looks at Riley and stood up. She grabbed my arm and told me not to hurt him. I rolled my eyes and sat back down in my seat.

The bell rang and our teacher, Mr.Toy came in.

"Everyone hand in your homework." Mr. Toy said

"Riley I didn't do it." I whispered

"I know." She sighed "I did it for you."

"Thanks." I said as she handed me my homework

"So u didn't do ur homework?" Lucas whispered from behind me

"What ru talking about?" I asked

"I just saw Riley hand u the homework." he said

"So?" I said

"So, I could tell Mr. Toy and u would get detention and a zero." He said

"What do u want?" I asked

"A date." He said

I started laughing. Riley and Farkle looked at me. So did the rest of the class.

"What's so funny Ms. Hart?" Mr. Toy asked

"Lucas." I said

"Well Lucas, would u like to tell the class what u told Maya?" Mr. Toy asked

Everyone looked at Lucas.

"I asked her out." Lucas said

The classroom went silent.

"What's so funny about that?" Mr. Toy asked me

"That he actually thought I'd say yes." I
said

Yes, that was cold but, it had to be said.

"Maya didn't do her homework!" Lucas said

"Mr. Friar, it's right here." Mr. Toy said

"No, Riley did her homework for her." Lucas said

"Shut up!" I said

"Why? You embarrassed me in front of the whole class!" Lucas said storming out of the classroom.
