Chapter 5

Maya's POV

Riley, Farkle, and I walked into Topanga's and sat down.

"I want an astronaut on a horse." Riley said

Farkle and I laughed.

"Riles, they don't sell astronauts on horses." I said

"Well, I want one." Riley pouted

"I'll get you one!" Farkle said

"Really?" Riley asked

"Yeah!" Farkle said

"O my god!" I said laughing so hard

"Do you want one too Maya?" Farkle asked laughing

"Yeah, sure Farkle." I laughed

The door opened and we saw Mike and Lucas walk in. My stomach started to hurt and my palms began to sweat. Why does Mike have to be here too? I can at least get rid of Lucas, but I'm way too scared of Mike.

"Hey babe." Lucas said facing us

"Shut up." I said

"Oh, Maya your always so angry." Mike said walking over to us

"Can you guys just leave us alone please?" Riley asked all sweet

"Your cute, what's your name?" Mike asked

"She's mine." Farkle said sitting next to Riley

"Whatever. I have my eyes on someone else." Mike smirked looking straight at me

I gulped and looked down. No one knows what happened except Mike and I. I bet he didn't even tell Lucas.

"Who?" Lucas asked

"It's a secret. Maya? Have you ever had to keep a secret?" Mike asked

He's testing me. Crap. I have to lie.

"No." I mumbled

"I bet you have a lot of secrets, right Maya?" Mike asked coming closer to me

I looked up at him.

"No, I don't." I said standing up trying to be tough

"Really?" He asked

Lucas, Riley, and Farkle looked at us. He stepped closer to me and Lucas stood up, but he didn't come over to us. Mike looked down at me and smirked. He put his mouth to my ear.

"What about your daddy issues, Maya? What about the fact that a guy like Lucas would never really like you and that he's just using you for a bet, with me, that I'm the guy who you are completely terrified of and you have to do whatever I say. Huh, Maya?" He whispered into my ear

I could feel tears welling up in my eyes. I could burst into tears right here, but I can't. He took slow step back with that stupid smirk still on his face. I want to smack it off but I can't. I look over to a confused Riley, Farkle, and Lucas. I run out of Topanga's as fast as I can.

I turn off the tv. I watched a lot of Netflix in my room. Riley and Farkle called me earlier and I told them I was just feeling sick. I want to tell them about Mike, but I'm scared. I don't want to ruin Riley's positive attitude before uncle Josh gets here this week end. Maybe I'll tell them after he leaves. Yeah, that's sounds good.

I fell asleep watching the beginning of a new show on Netflix.

"MAYA!" Riley yelled running up to me and giving me a huge hug

"Hey Riles." I laughed

She released the hug and put the back of her hand on my forehead.

"What's up honey?" I asked

She took her hand off of my head and smiled at me.

"Just wanted to make sure peaches was feeling better." Riley giggled

"Yeah, it was just like a weird cold or something." I lied

"Okay, as long as you can still come sleepover and see Josh this weekend, I'm HAPPY!" She squealed

I giggled at her and Farkle gave her a quick peck on the cheek as he came up to us.

"Hey Maya, you feeling better?" He asked

"Yeah I'm feeling better." I said

"Great! Riley would not stop trying to go over to your house, but made sure she didn't because I know you probably just wanted space." Farkle said

"Thank you Farkle!" I said as I hugged him

We all laughed as we walked into class.
