"Are you absolutely sure? Cause I can, you know, not go to that super important thing and just stay here to take care of the aquarium."
"Boss, I can handle everything just fine, you don't need to worry." Dila insisted, hugging her clipboard tight against her chest.
Percy sighed and rubbed her temple. "I know, I know, I'm just fussing over nothing." She turned around again and studied herself in the mirror and attempted half-heartedly to fix her white collared shirt.
"You look great, Boss," Dila complemented. "I'm sure the Waynes are going to love you."
Percy offered a sarcastic smile. Sure, whatever that child of Hecate said. "Thank you, Dila." She picked up her purse from her desk and began to walk out the door when her assistant called out to her again.
"Boss, your eyes." She reminded.
"Oh, right. Thanks, Dila!"
Percy made her way out of the Aquarium and headed straight for the Parking Lot. There, in her own personal parking spot, was a beautiful electric-blue Lamborghini. Percy never really drove her own car, usually, she comes and goes with Blackjack, rarely would she go out for a car ride. But today was different, it requires her to play the 'normal card'. Bruce Wayne, her former guardian/mentor/her present partner in business, invited her over to the Wayne Manor for a party. Just thinking about it filled her with dread, how long has it been since she last stepped foot in that place? Almost a decade ago, seven years to be exact.
The car rear to life as Percy, now Beryl Hale, drove out of her comfort zone and out on the busy streets.
...
Dick paced around in his room at the Manor while his brothers sat around his bed watching him. Finally, he spoke up. "We are not telling him this just yet." He decided.
"What? Why?" Steph demanded. "Bruce has the right to know that his uh, adopted daughter is still out there!"
"I'm actually with Dick on this one," Tim said.
"Tim!"
"I'm sorry," Tim apologized, putting his hands up in defense. "But think about this, if we told him right now he's going to straight-up walk up to Riptide, somehow drugging her, and ship her back to the Manor kidnap-style."
Jason laughed at this. "Ha, I can already imagine him doing this! I'm Batman and you are coming with me, young lady, you are overdue for that grounding time, go to your room!" He said the last part in an overly gruff voice which made some of his siblings snicker.
Tim looked unamused while Dick was still stuck in his own world.
"Like I was saying," Tim continued like that little incident didn't even exist. "We should wait on that, just until we can bring her back and not against her own will."
They all nodded. "So does it mean that we can put this away now?" Steph asked, holding up Dick's clue board for Persephone.
"Where-"
"From your apartment duh!"
"Okay, first of all, stop cutting in between my sentences! Second, no we are not putting this away just yet." Dick said, taking the board from Stephanie, he may have used just a little too much force taking it from her that a picture on the board came loose and fell to the floor. Damian picked it up, it was a picture of Beryl Hale the day they saw her in Manhattan.
"Why do you have this up there?" Questioned Damian. "I thought we have determined that Jackson is Riptide." Jason plucked the photo from out of the boy's hand and studied it.
