All had been eerily calm since the dance and often Heather found Paulina attempting to rub Dash in her face. They started dating, not shocking to anyone in the student body, and the Latina was still under the mindset that it bothered her. Heather was internally grateful at her quick thinking, but found it annoying the escalation of PDA that transpired when she was present. She was becoming more frustrated, not just at the display of atrocious affection, but she was nowhere near finding the reality gauntlet. Clockwork had thrown her off her trail saying that Danny didn't have it yet, and she had failed to come up with another plan. When would he even get it? How would she know? All these questions and she hated not having the answers. She sighed angrily as she tacked another question to her wall. It was a Saturday and she decided to stay in so she could work on her mission. She felt as if she had been getting distracted and it was starting to anger her.

On top of her mission, finals were approaching and that added to her stress. It was now November, the weather becoming colder and winter break was three weeks away. She spent most of her time studying, when she wasn't planning, and she felt nowhere close to being ready. Alice would stop by periodically to check up on her, resulting in the older woman helping her with her studies. She also dropped off coded information from Walker. It was news on Freakshow and his accomplices. That afternoon Alice had dropped off another coded message that sent Heather into a frenzy.

"So you're telling me that someone knows where I am!" she yelled, obnoxiously pacing around her room. "What if it's Lydia?!"

Alice was sitting properly on her bed looking forlorn at the young girl. "Yes dear, but you must understand, we don't know who and it's unlikely she knows you're here. Whoever it is, they haven't figured out your identity yet." Alice reassured her.

"Yeah but I'm sure whoever it is, they will! I thought Freakshow was captured. What if they are working for him?"

"He is in custody, but they never caught Lydia, the last we heard she was way on the other side of the states."

Heather groaned at Alice's words. "What if they find me??" she breathed defeated, plopping down onto the bed next to her. The older woman gave her a confident smile.

"Don't worry, we won't let that happen." She promised. "We will keep you safe." She got up and bid her farewell, leaving Heather to contemplate her thoughts. It had been a little over three months being in Amity and it had been at least five since the last time she was captured. The longer she stayed, the wearier she seemed to have become. She wanted to have found the gauntlet, to have it done with and to be left alone. Ghost's never left her alone and knew very well that there would be another one just as soon as the last. She sighed again before turning her attention to the text message she received. It was from Danny asking her if she wanted to come over and hang with him, Sam, and Tucker. She thought for a moment and agreed, needing time away from her plans. She dressed in black skinny jeans, an oversized dark grey sweater, and her high top converse. She half-heartedly brushed her hair and left.

When she arrived at Danny's, the three teens were waiting for her outside. They had just arrived back from the Nasty Burger, patting their full stomachs. She greeted them, and followed them inside. His parents hopped out of nowhere holding a peculiar object. Heather's eyes went wide.

'The reality gauntlet!' she yelled internally. 'They have it?!'

"Danny sweetie, do you know what this do-dad thingy is?" His mom asked, holding the gauntlet and inspecting it.

Danny shrugged. "I've never seen it before." He replied. Heather did her best to compose herself.

"Well it's definitely weird." His dad added. "Ah well, let's put it in the Fenton Safe." He grabbed the gauntlet and headed in the direction of the fireplace. He pushed a button and the fireplace was replaced with a safe. He opened the lock and placed it inside, resetting everything back to where it was. Carefully, Heather took out one of her gadget devices and pressed a button, signally Walker. She typed a message that said 'I need to talk to you tonight' and sent it hastily. She looked at the other three, who shrugged and walked upstairs.
