It had been a month since both young halfas were kidnapped and it was making the agents of KAOS nervous. Sam and Tucker worked alongside Walker to obtain their location but they kept coming up short, leaving them frustrated and heartbroken. They were angry with themselves for letting Danny go out unsupervised. Lost to exasperation, Walker demanded them to get to school. He sent them with the little comfort that they would continue to search and they could join back in at the end of the day. Sighing, Sam and Tucker trudged their way to school. They walked in silence as they reminisced the weekend.

"I tracked the location of Scarlett's necklace but you won't like the location." One of the agents reported to Walker. He sighed and motioned for the cadet to finish speaking.

"It's buried in the snow in the middle of an alley on outsides of town. It appears that is the last place she was."

"What was she doing there?" Walker asked, attempting to keep his voice calm. The agent shrugged.

"It appears she might have gotten lost." He replied. Sam and Tucker exchanged glances of surprise.

"That was the night of the Christmas party!" Sam exclaimed. "It was snowing that night. Scarlett walked out of the gym and she must have gotten lost."

"Why did she walk out alone? She knows better than that!" Walker's voice was stern but Tucker held up his hand to calm him.

"It was an unfortunate situation sir. It was an emotional decision, not a rational one." He answered and Walker sighed in understanding.

"This is what I get for sending her to high school." He stated. "And for letting her stay with a boy no less."

"That was a curious aspect to things actually." Sam said suddenly.

"She was rather quietly afraid of Danny in the beginning and we could never figure out why." "That's right." Tucker added, scratching his forehead. "She never spoke of it but you could see it in her eyes."

"There's an explanation for that but I don't know if you kids should know." Walker answered. He pondered for a moment before giving into their pleading looks.

"Remember the first time you encountered Freakshow and he was controlling Danny Phantom?" They nodded their heads and he continued.

"Well around the same time, Freakshow had held Scarlett captive. She contained three gems that, as you already know, he wants desperately. Well he used Danny as a means of torturing her for information. I don't know everything that happened but I do know that your friend was close to killing my agent."

"Danny would never!" Sam started to argue but Walker stopped her.

"He had no control over his actions. He was completely at Freakshow's mercy. Scarlett is smart enough to give trust where it is due, but she's a sixteen year old girl. She has fears and some of them she's had to live through. It's no shock that she was scared of Danny when she officially met you guys. We kept his identity from her so when she figured it out, she figured it out on her own." He said and the two teens contemplated the information they were given.

"She must have realized the difference between controlled Danny and actual Danny then." Sam said after a while.

Walker nodded. "Like I said, she is smart enough to give trust where it's due. She is also incredibly stubborn so that's a big aspect to it. As far as her feelings go, that's a mystery I don't know the answer too." He confirmed. Sam and Tucker look at each other and shrugged.

"It doesn't make sense, but then again, we are all sixteen years old." Tucker stated.

"Exactly." Sam added.

"At this point, I don't think any of that matters. We need to find them, not discuss their emotions." Skulker chimed in. They all nodded in agreement.

"I don't even know where to begin. They could be anywhere." Tucker sighed, punching at his PDA.

"We know that Lydia was last seen just outside of Southwestern part of Wisconsin. That was a few weeks ago though, so she easily could have reached Amity between then and now." Walker revealed. "My guess is that they are somewhere on the outskirts of Indiana. Since Amity is toward the top part of Indiana, it makes sense. Freakshow likes to be close enough to throw us off but far enough to not get caught."

"Where would you think he would locate himself then?" Sam asked annoyed.

Walker sighed,"I don't know, but we will keep searching. You kids go on to home and we can resume when you get back from school tomorrow." He suggested. Sam and Tucker groaned but left when he glared harshly at them.

"Do you think its too late Walker?" Skulker asked in a short tone. Walked started to pace uncomfortably.

"I hope not."

Heather sat slumped in her cell, chest still stinging and her head spinning. She wondered what Freakshow meant about having a lead. He was clearly still searching for the gems and the gauntlet, so which one was he aware of? If it was the gauntlet then Danny's family would be in danger, but if it was the gems then it probably was related to Alice. Heather sighed deeply. She still did not know what came of her friend's sudden kidnapping. Was she alive even? Was she here too in this hell hole? She was afraid to find out.

Heather peeked a glance over at Danny and felt pity settle into her stomach. He looked defeated, equally as slumped over with his still bloodied hands on his head. He screamed mixed emotions, and she didn't blame him. History, in a way, was repeating itself. She wanted to say something to him, make him feel at least a touch more at ease, but she couldn't find it in herself to do so. How could she when she couldn't do it to herself? It all felt hopeless, completely and utterly hopeless. A door creaked in the distance breaking her train of thought, and she saw two guys in white trudging towards Danny's cell.

"Let's go ghost kid." One said in a superficial kind of voice while reaching down and grabbing him by his wrists. Danny instinctively fought but the other plunged a syringe into his arm and sedated him. The sedation also forcing a transformation.

"Let him go!" Heather barked, finding her voice. The two merely smirked, disappearing behind the door with a weary eyed Danny. "Danny! Danny!"

"Oh its no use you insolent girl." Freakshows voice crackled through the room. She didn't even notice his return. "The guys in white wanted their turn to run experiments so I'm out of a minion it seems. However its no matter!" He clapped his hands in delight and held up a small case with the three missing gems. "Looks like my lead was right, lucky for you."

"Where did you get those?" Heather cautiously questioned. Freakshow only smiled more.

"Off a little friend of yours."

"What did you do to Alice?" She barked. Freakshow didn't answer.

"Are you aware of what these gems do?" He asked in a condescending voice.

"Im fully aware."
