Austin drove me to a familiar forest. I'd definetly been here before. Red trees, red bushes, white grass. Too familiar.
Someone stepped into the clearing. Austin cleared his throat awkwardly.
"Riley. Meet Blake. Blake, Riley. He's the leader of the Dark Wolves," he said to me. Under his breath, he mumbled something that sounded like, "Meet the Alpha bitch, Riley."
Blake looked at me. I felt self-conscious under his eyes. His deep blue eyes. I'd never seen anything like them.
Blake's eyes widened when he turned to me. Had we met?
His features stood out. Blue and black colored hair. Somehow he made this look very natural. Maybe it was. A single lip stud, no tatoos. A 'blessthefall' T-shirt. Adorable baggy black shorts.
Oh, he was hot. Way more than hot. Gorgeous. Beautiful. Amazing. Good God. It shouldn't be legal for someone to be so hot. He was like...
Jinxx.
"Riley," Blake said, "you are part of the pack, correct?"
"She's not a member--" Austin started.
"I said Riley," Blake barked. He turned to me and nodded.
"No. I am not part of the pack," I said quietly. I wasn't about to lie, Austin knows I'm not.
Blake smiled. I'm scared. "Good, Riley. Dark Ones.Join!" Blake yelled.
More stunningly beautiful teenagers walked into the forest out of the trees. They came in a circle, Blake and Austin joining in. I was in the middle.
Most did double takes when they saw me. Werewolves see each other differently. All wolves look too stunning for words to other wolves. It shows especially when boys see girls. No, especially when mates see each other. They look like super models. Better. They look like angels. Better. They look like...well, what does Jinxx look like to you? I remember Austin saying in the car. Fucking hot. I remember thinking.
One wolf took the liberty of whistling, and his friend nodded, not taking his eyes off my bra.
Blake turned to them. "Meet Riley Gray, the new Dark Wolf."
Everyone, not including Austin, who was looking at me sadly, applauded. The majority of their eyes were still on my chest.
Then I noticed something. No girls. This was all seventeen or eighteen year old guys. This was...
"Wait," I spoke. They dragged their eyes away from my midsection to look at my face. "I didn't say I would. It's not right to drag me into all your evil shit--"
"You don't have a choice," snarled Blake. If he wasn't so fucking hot, he'd be more scary. I think he was the hottest of everyone. I don't know who was more attractive: Jinxx or Blake. "I thought you'd be grateful to be let into my pack, without any test--"
"Grateful? You kidnap me and expect me to be fucking grateful?" I yelled. What a bitch. An Alpha bitch. Jus t what Austin said.
"Eric. Jacob. Michael. Tie her up. Let her have a night in the den," he said. He turned to me as the three wolves started toward me. "Let's see what you think after a night in the den."
"I'm Eric," mumbled the one who whistled. "This is Jacob and Mike." Jacob was the one who nodded when Eric whistled.Michael was one of the few who hadn't been staring at my chest.
I didn't struggle as Eric bound my wrists. Why should I? What would I do? Run? To where? I don't have anywhere to go. Even Aunt Tracy won't miss me. No one will.
