At lunch noticed three guys were staring at me.
The first guy was Dylan, who now always stares at me.
The second guy is a jock named Tyler.
The third guy is a popular dude named James.
They just wouldn’t stop looking at me.
It was freaky.
Also, Rochelle was flirting with Bryce.
Oh, why didn’t I listen to Marissa?
I was getting sick and tired of watching her kiss up to him, so I walked out of the lunch room. As I was walking down the hallway, James came up to me.
“Hey, Melody.”
“Hello, James.”
“Do you want to go out with me on a date?”
“OMG! ARE YOU ASKING ME?!?!” I said, and instantly blushed.
“Yeah. I am.”
“Well, then, sure.”
“Cool.”
After school I went to Marissa’s house.
I knocked on the door and Marissa’s mom opened it.
“Hello, Melody! Marissa is in her room. There’s cookies on the counter. Help yourself.”
“Thank you. I’ll be in her room.”
I walked up the stairs and into her room.
I opened the door and saw Marissa sitting on her bed.
“I’m sorry. You were right.”
“That’s fine, Melody.”
“Rochelle is flirting with Bryce.”
“Yeah. I thought that would happen.”
I started to cry and she hugged me.
“It’s okay, Melody.”
“No it’s not! This whole year has been a disaster! Sam cheated on me for my ex- best friend! I like about five or six guys! And most of them like me! I don’t know what to do!”
“Just wait. You’ll find out who really loves you in the future.”
Then I left.
Confused.
