The next morning I was still thinking of the kiss I got that night by surprise. Dinger did not seem like the kind of guy to play a move that could be in one of those girlie movies. Wait, im thinking about the move he made when I should be thinking about why the hell he did it in the first place!? I thought he was just trying to be friends with me but he kisses me? I guess after tonight I realised how sweet he was being and not just the cool kid from school he was in class. Would he act jerky or kind when I see him? I have so many questions and I don't know what to think... Ill see him when I get to school.
My first class was english which meant I was working with Dinger. I got to class right on time and Dinger was obviously gonna be late. And 10 minutes into class, he showed up. He slumped down in the desk behind mine and kicked his feet up on the desk, waiting for the lesson to be over. Once the lecture was over, we all broke into our groups. I just turned around and faced Dinger who showed a little half smile.
" The project is due in a week and a half and all we have is the idea of what we are gonna do." I babbled and his smile dropped and he slung his head back. I snapped my fingers to try and get his attention again, like I even had it in the first place..." Hey, what should we do to get started on it?"
He squinted and tried to concentrate on me. " Why are you always so boring?" He asked me and I raised my eyebrows.
" Excuse me? I am not boring! I just like to do my work." I tried to argue.
" I rest my case." He says and crosses his arms over his chest.
" Ok, how could I possibly be less boring?"
He narrowed his eyes at me and smirked causing an uneasy feeling in my stomach, knowing that something was going to go wrong. " Sneak out with me tonight?"
" I can't my folks will flip!"
" Oh come on! We won't be that long!"
After we argued a little bit I finally agreed to sneak out tonight at 1 AM. I already started to get worried about what was going to happen tonight but, whats the worst that could happen? English was over and lunch felt like minutes later. I was sitting on the grass alone sticking my fork into my strawberries. Dinger and Bobby came and joined me on the grass minutes later.
" Hey, guys." I said and forked a berrie into my mouth.
" Hey Riley, or should I say, Dingers girlfriend?" Bobby teased. What? Did Dinger tell Bobby that he kissed me? My cheeks started to turn as red as my berries.
" Screw off Bobby and go find Lannie... Oh wait, shes not yours!" Dinger came right back at him and Bobbys face dropped.
We talkd all through out lunch and lucky not about Dinger and I. The bell rand and I had nether Bobby or Dinger in my afternoon classes. I guess ill be seeing Dinger tonight!
