As the days pass, and weeks turn to years, Heidi has now grown into a playful curious five-year-old and her older brother Joseff is a fun-loving eight-year-old trickster. The duo basks and plays in the royal gardens where they would play their favorite game; Knights and Dragons. Joseff would play the knight and Heidi would be the dragon shooting her magic bolts toward her brother as he would try to dodge them. Sometimes Joseff would get hit by Heidi's magic, but it wouldn't hurt, just make him numb for a few minutes and it would be Heidi's turn to be the knight. Sometimes Olaf and Sven would join in as Sven would be the dragon and Olaf would be the evil wizard, and Joseff and Heidi would team up and try to defeat them. This time, Heidi and Joseff snuck into the royal Arendelle guard courtyard where the two were watching General Mattias training new recruits for the royal guard.
Heidi was so fascinated by how the soldiers showed discipline and organization, and how Mattias would order the soldiers to do something and they would follow every order in total synchronization. Sometimes Heidi and Joseff would pick up on some of the sword fighting techniques while watching from a distance. Before it got dark, Heidi and Joseff ran back to the castle gardens, to which Heidi threw Joseff a stick and said "Ready for a duel?!" Joseff gave her a smirk and said as he picked up the stick "Bring it on!" The royal siblings clashed their sticks together and fought as if it were their lives depended on their skills.
Both fought with raging intensity, but Heidi was more serious about winning than challenging for fun. Mattias was on his way to the castle to give his reports to the Queen when he heard the sounds of the royal children battling each other with sticks. He had to take a look, and so, Mattias hid behind some shrubbery spying on the children and watching the two battle each other. With a final move, Heidi with her magic blew Joseff halfway across the castle gardens as he landed into a cart full of fresh-cut flowers.
For a minute or two Joseff didn't come out from under the flowers. Mattias and Heidi began to worry that she might have hurt him. Then Joseff popped out from under the flowers in the cart with his fists in the air as he shouted "Awesome!" and he began to laugh. Mattias sighs in relief to see the young Prince was not hurt and watches the royal children run to each other to share a loving hug. Mattias decided to walk to the children to admire Heidi's victory.
