Just You and I || (Bakugo x Reader)

Within the next few days after the group made friends with Haru Takahashi, she began to hang out with you all often. Often, meaning whenever she could. Day after day after day, she would come find you at break and lunch, and after school everyone except you and Bakugo would wait for her outside so that they could walk with her for a few miles. You were beginning to become sick of the way Takahashi kept on glancing at you. It was as if she knew something you didn't, which really bothered you. She would, almost purposely, change her body language around you by the tiniest detail, or the way she spoke would alter just a fraction of a pitch. After just three days, you cracked.

"Do you guys seriously not see the way Takahashi acts around me?"

"What do you mean, L/N? She acts normal to me," Kaminari says, looking at you with a slightly puzzled look.

"You guys just aren't seeing it," You plead. "Her voice changes whenever I enter the room, and her body almost tenses by the tiniest bit."

"I'm sure you're just being paranoid. Haru's great fun! You just need to get closer to her," Mina exclaims confidently.

"Yea, maybe it's just because you don't talk to her like we do."

Bakugo steps in. "Shut up, and leave poor L/N alone, dammit!" He grumbles. "I'm trying to listen to some damn music and I can't when you're all talking!"

You arrive home that afternoon with a surprise hiding behind the door to your apartment. When you step into the familiar landing of your place, your hear distant chatting, and the voices are almost instantly recognizable. You run through your kitchen door at the end of hallway and, without hesitation, into Rumi's arms for the first time in what feels like years, but has only been about three months.

"Rumi!"

"Woah there, Y/N," the Rabbit Hero says, putting down a glass of coke she had in her left hand. She gives you a proper hug which lasts for a minute or so (not nearly long enough in your opinion) and you turn around to see Hakamata, Keigo and Toshinori have also invited themselves into your living space. You also give them a hug each and smile.

"I missed you guys!" You half shout. Then: "So... WHAT ARE ALL DOING IN MY HOUSE?! I THINK I SHOULD BE ALLOWED A PRIVATE LIFE IN MY OWN LIVING SPACE, DON'T YOU?!" You grin at them like an innocent angel child once again, waiting for a response.

"You didn't forget, did you Y/N?" Toshi asks, and you tilt your head in return. He sighs and then smiles. "It's the last day in your apartment before you move into UA, so you said you wanted a small get together before you moved out! Remember?"

"Oh my god, I completely forgot!" You sweatdrop and groan, smacking your forehead. "Sorry, the place is a mess! I was still sort of putting everything into boxes and stuff. I totally didn't realize how fast the weeks have passed! I mean, I'm moving out of here tomorrow."  You smile at your nearly empty apartment, the place you called home pretty much since before you can remember.

Next, everyone reveals the game they brought to play, an old tradition. UNO, Monopoly, Twister and of course Keido brought a Nintendo switch like the little kid he is inside. You quickly phone up the local pizza place and order three large margherita pizzas for you all to share, and begin Twister before food arrives because you'd get stomach ache if you played after.

All might decides to be the spinner because of his weak skeleton form, and so you begin the silly game. You start, and you have to put a foot on green. Easy enough. For the next few spins, things seem to be easily avoidable before the real fun begins.

"Y/N, put your left hand on a red spot." The only available red space is past Hakamata, who is currently steadily balancing on a hand and a fitting in a bridge, so you bend over him and easily reach the spot you wanted - which also happened to be the perfect place to add pressure onto the Jeanist and causing him to collapse, eliminating one out of three of your opponents. Yet you don't even have to do anything to sabotage Rumi because Keigo's feathers brush her nose, causing her to sneeze and lose her balance. She falls on her back and pouts as she goes to join Hakamata to sit on the sidelines and watch.
