Chapter 10: Attack

(A/N: hello readers welcome to Chapter 10, let's see what's going on. Now let's begin)

3rd P.O.V

"Walking through the woods, the demonic monster was guided by the Ark Angel as they were having a walk in a forest, Mephiles was interested in discovering other lifeforms that weren't monsters and Maria gladly accepted to help him discover the different types of life that were in this particular forest. Mephiles was walking into a part of the forest that he has never seen before and this seemed to be a good thing for Maria as she was very excited to show him the different lifeforms that roam around the forest"

Mephiles: so. What do you call those lifeforms with bodies ?

Maria: they're called animals. They are living organisms like monsters and Ark Angels

Mephiles: i see. And are they more than one animal ?

Maria: oh but of course ! The world is filled with different types of amazing animals. From small to big, from hairy to scaly, from beautiful to mysterious. Animals are a very important part of life

"Mephiles was smiling as he was listening to her, something about her voice really seemed to make him listen to her, Mephiles founds her voice to be very pretty especially when she sings. As they were walking through the woods, Mephiles suddenly began to notice something climbing a tree, a small brown furry rodent that looked to be carrying an acorn on it's mouth"

Mephiles: and what do you call this ?

Maria: oh that's a squirrel. They do look cute and adorable but they are also very important

Mephiles: how so ?

Maria: see all the trees around us. Squirrels plant acorns so that it then grows into a tree. It's because of them that trees are born and the forest is created

Mephiles: i see. Although it's just one little squirrel that did all of this ?

Maria: "giggles" of course not. All of the squirrels of this forest plant acorns so that a tree get's born

Mephiles: so it's because of them that the forest exist in the first place

Maria: exactly ! Now this natural environment is homed to a lot of different animals and it's thanks to them

"The Ark Angel said smiling happily as she then goes to pet the small squirrel only for the little rodent to then look to the left side while it's ears were twitching indicating that it heard something and it immediately climbs away for it's life. This confused Maria until she began to sense a presence that was coming causing her eyes to widen"

Maria: oh no...

Mephiles: what is it ?

"She clenched her fist as she then proceeded to summon her spear while looking at him seriously"

Maria: Devil of Fire...

Mephiles: "eyes widen" what ?

Maria: there's a Devil of Fire that is coming our way. Quickly, run and go back to the house

Mephiles: huh ? But what about you ?

Maria: i'm going to fight it

Mephiles: what ?

Maria: just go !!!

"Mephiles was rather hesitant in returning back to the house since this would result in leaving Maria alone to fight the Devil of Fire and the risk of her getting killed but he had no choice but to listen to her as he immediately turns back running to the direction where the house was. Maria get's into her fighting pose while her angelic wings began opening and the Devil of Fire finally reveals itself"
