Chapter 2: Normal day

HEY SORRY FOR TAKING SO LONG TO UPDATE. PLEASE STILL LOVE ME <3 HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS CHAPTER!

I snore and grumble as my alarm clock goes off and sit up on my bed. I wonder... was what Yato said lastnight actually real? But then I wonder again... Nah! he always jokes around and I'm pretty sure he was joking... right? I get up and change into the usual. I get out of my room to look for Yato and Yukine but it seems they're gone. I just think, "They're probably hunting for phantoms." as I pour juice into a cup. I then start to zone out to get worried about them and feel something wet on my feet. I then stop zoning and find myself over pouring my juice into my cup. I squeal and clean it all up as I scratch my head to try and convince myself that they may be okay.

"Hiyori?" I hear. "Mom? is that you?" I reply with a creeped out voice. "Yes Hiyori, I'm gonna be working until 1 in the morning tonight. Will you be fine?" I nod my head as she looks straight at me. "Be safe honey!" she says as she opens the door. I then hear Yato say "Bye!" and I look straight at the door. Of course, they'd show up whenever one of my family members are leaving.

"Where were you two?" I say in a worried voice. "We were out getting some food! You took forever to wake up and cool us food, we were too hungry." Yato said. "O-oh I'm sorry you guys, shall I make it up for lunch?" I say laughing. "Yes please, Yato tried to feed me a fish bone from the trash can." Yukine said staring at me nervously. "It's good for you!" Yato yells while eating a piece of the bone. "Uhhh Yato... don't eat that. Ill make lunch, the two of you just stay put."

I go into the kitchen and grab the ingredients and utensils I need. I think, "Something seems unusual... as if they were hiding something from me." But then I think again... "Maybe they're just baka." I complete the lunch and call them to come and eat. "Hiyori this is great!" Yukine says as he's smiling of joy. "Atleast it's better than what Yato has to give me..." Yukine says making a ugly face at Yato. "Hey! The food I give you is healthy!" Yato said. I laugh at the both of them as they argue.
