Chapter Seven: Silence And Apologies
3RD PERSON'S POV

"What," Jaesung stood still in place. "What is going on here?"

No one dared to answer, heck, no one moved. Their breathing were the only sound that their ears could manage to take in. They all stood still, looking at each other, completely scared. They were all scared, no one can deny that. No one.

"Answer me," Jaesung said, eyes closing and breathing getting heavy. God, he is totally gonna flip!

"We can explain," Jimin was the first to speak. "It's all an accident, Jaesung."

Jungkook nods. "Yeah. Don't panic—"

"—Stop talking," Jaesung said as he knelt down on the ground, hands shaking as he used them to cover his head. "Please."

"Okay," Jungkook mutters, preparing himself for a whole lecture, possibly a threat to tell the police. But it wasn't his fault!

After a moment of silence, Hoseok began to shake his head. "No, this can't be real," he mumbles. "Someone explain, please."

"She was tugging at my belt 'cause there were vines tangled within it," Taehyung said with a sad smile. "Then she fell."

"Fell," Hoseok whispers, "Do you mean she fell from the cliff? Because that thing's high."

"Y-yeah," Taehyung cursed himself for stuttering at such a serious scenario.

The air got thicker and slowly but surely, Jaesung began to walk towards Haeyun's body which the three males were trying to cover up.

"Hae..." Jaesung whispers with a sad expression. "I'm so sorry. I wasn't there when it happened. I feel very bad."

"Don't be," Yoongi mumbles, "It's not your fault." He takes a glance at Taehyung who was clenching his fist. "It's no one's."

"I still can't process what's happening," Hoseok shakes his head, orange hair swaying. "This is crazy."

"I know," Yoongi rolls his eyes. "But if you guys can help than we can finish much faster."

"Finish?" The orange haired male scoffs. "What do you mean? And where is Seokjin and Namjoon? Did they run away?"

"Namjoon did," Jimin sighed furiously. "But Seokjin went to get water from the lake to wash the blood away."

Hoseok glanced at him with a raised eyebrow, then he glanced at the ground and his hands began shaking, his breathing wasn't steady and he was clearly taking everything in. This is too much, it's like they were in some horror movie!

"I'm sorry," Taehyung mumbles. "I'm so sorry."

"You should be," Jaesung glanced at him, eyes shooting daggers Taehyung's way. "This event is nuts, and I don't think I can forgive you."

And with that, Taehyung began to sigh sadly, his eyes massaging his elbows and his eyes began to water.

"But then again," Jaesung said, "I'm not crying right now, I'm not shouting, I'm not losing my mind." He shrugged.

"W-what do you mean?" Tae mumbles.

"We were in a very unhealthy relationship," Jaesung said. "And it was very uneven, I'm not sure but it just didn't feel right. We decided to go here as a little vacation to rest and maybe bond, but that idea is thrown out the window by now."

"Mhm, Hae told us," Taehyung nods. "I'll pray for her, I promise."

Jaesung nodded at him, sighing, he said. "Just hope that your friend Namjoon won't call the police, we'll all be in deep mud if he does."

The leaves were causing sounds and the presence of someone surrounded them, and when they turned around they saw Seokjin with a bucket of water.

"Jaesung." He stopped walking, clearly shocked to see the person they brought death to's boyfriend.

"Seokjin," The male smiles. "It's okay. I understand."

"You do?" The oldest seems to think it's a trick. "She's gone, and you're not going mad?"

"People live to die," the other responds. "Just don't make it seem obvious to the public."

"I can't forgive myself," Taehyung mumbles, fortunately, no one heard him. "I can't."

And woosh! The bucket of water soon emptied, causing their shoes to get all wet and muddy. It's their price to pay.

"C'mon, we need to get out of here."
