Chapter 19~The Betrayal

Zane and the other's returned to the mansion and into Sebastian's room, but seeing the look on their face's meant it was not good news at all.

"So how are we going to find her exactly?"

Riku who entered the room scratching his head, everyone remained silent thinking of a plan but then zero then two men entered the room in a panic, everyone looked at them.

"Sir we have received news that the parent's of layla have disappeared"

Everyone became speechless as many things were going around in zane's head, first layla being kidnapped also forcing to be married to the prince and now her parent's.

"How can that be i thought you were watching them!"

Sebastian replied in anger, but the two male shook in fear and bowed for forgiveness once they were forgiven and instructed what to do both then left the room.

"I have a bad feeling but i think they planned this from the start"

Zero said as he entered the room and riku did agree, but rose wasn't sure to be honest because they have been with layla's parent's ever since she was a baby.

"Who knows they could have planned it from the start"

Oscar began to ponder and looked at amy she was pondering aswell, but then she thought of something

"I knew layla since childhood and every time i went to visit her parent's were a bit odd like at one time when i stayed over i woke up and headed downstairs to get a drink until i saw both of them talking to a cloaked figure in the garden."

"I remember at that point it was when i was looking for layla i came across two cloaked figures who had like a emblem etched onto their cloaks i think it a dragon and a snake"

Sebastian's eyes widened indicating that he knew that emblem, it belonged to a illegal organisation which they have arrested it's henchman but their leader fled at the time.

Zane clutched his fists tightly in anger, but rose walked over placing her hand onto his shoulder to relax him.

"But the question remains why are they involved in this now"

All of a sudden a voice spoke out and looked over towards the door where kyra was standing, a icy cold aura wrapped around her body.

"The one i fought that girl is the key to this answer"

"Are you crazy kyra you know she could kill you for good this time"

Riku replied in anger, but kyra ignored him and approached sebastian then stood infront of his desk.

"With your permission i will succeed"

Sebastian hesitated at the moment and knew that his daughter kyra wasn't a little frail girl anymore, he nodded she smiled softly then left the room.

"Rose, amy and oscar you three go and find more information while everyone else rest up and prepare for the battle with his majesty"

Everyone nodded as amy and oscar both got up and left the room with rose, zane walked towards the window he then looked at the moon as he sighed softly.

"Layla hang on in there we will be coming very soon.."

I heard a door unlocking then opened my eyes, the door opened and a black cloaked figure entered the room.

"His highness requests your presences in the throne room"

He said in a cold tone of voice, slowly getting up i followed him out of the room and walked through the hallway.

Looking around it was big and beautiful decorated and if i wanted to escape i could try, but he might do something to my parent's if i disobey them.

We went up three flight of stairs until finally reaching the top we walked down a long hallway, at the end was a big golden door with red door handle.

("He sure loves gold huh")

Thinking to myself i then noticed two more cloaked figures standing guard, they exchanged few words then the both of them stepped aside and the door opened up.

Both of us entered as the room was fully decorated with dark purple and red, the chandelier was beautiful and full of diamonds. 

"I see that you have arrived my dear bride to be"

He said to me in a cold dark tone of voice, in which i knew he didn't meant to be nice at all but then i noticed crimson standing next to him but that girl wasn't here.

The cloaked figure bowed and left the room the door behind him closed, he stood up from his throne then walked over to me as he stopped infront of me he began to stroke my cheek.

"Heh so beautiful just like that woman"

What did he mean by that until i realised what he meant, my birth mother could it be he was in love with my mother.

"I see you have figured it out my darling bride and yes i did love your mother but she married your father instead of me!"

All of a sudden he grabs my chin and pulls my face towards him so our eyes were close to each other's, i could see his obsession for greed and power also fear.

"Don't touch me!"

I yelled and slapped his hand away shaking in fear, he smirked and looked at me then with a snap of his fingers black mist wrapped around my body unable to move it.

"You know i was too nice with you but with the time drawing nearer to our wedding it will be a great celebration!"

"Don't cocky you bastard because zane and the other's will come for me and rescue me!"

I replied but he laughed hysterically like he almost fell to his knees in laughing pains, he then wiped his tears away.

"That is what you think my dear once i get rid of all of them there will be no one to stop me!"

I gritted my teeth in anger as he laughed once more then stopped, he then walked over and whispered in my ear.

"N.. no it can't be..."

With a snap of his fingers two cloaked people entered the room, they removed their hoods i turned around and my body just froze on the spot.

It was my adopted parent's who took me in, my eyes filled up with the tears as they streamed down my cheeks and i collapsed onto my knees looking down at the floor.
