Elena Gilbert was by Stefan and Damon as they walked down the street. Her attention was drawn by two girls walking out of the store. One was taller than the other, the shorter one had long brown hair and was incredibly beautiful. Almost unnaturally. She wore an oversized flannel on top of a blue tank that had a lace trim, simple jeans with doodles on them and converse. The taller one wore a tank, her tattoos on display, a black fedora, her black hair in two braids. She wore glasses that looked similar to goggles so Elena couldn't see much of her face but what she saw, this girl was also unnaturally beautiful. She wore shorts with a flannel around her waist, black combat boots and ripped stockings.
They held shopping bags, and it looked like the taller one had a list in her hand. Elena got the two boys' attention. "Wow, I've never seen them before."
Damon looked at the two girls and froze. "Holy shit."
"Why would one of them be here?" Stefan asked, more to himself than anything. Elena asked them what they meant. So Stefan responded with an answer that confused her more. "The girl with the brown hair. She's a different kind of vampire. A cold one. Their kind are much older then ours, unlike us they don't burn in the sunlight. They sparkle."
Elan scoffed, "Sparkle? Like glitter?"
Damon shook his head, "I've been told it's like diamonds, that they are practically indestructible."
Elan thought for a second, "You think we could convince her to help us with the Mikalsons?"
Stefan shook his head, "I don't know, she's practically clinging to the black haired girl."
"Let's follow them." Damon said, causing the other two to look at him. He shrugged. "Look, they are new, we want the one girl to help so why not follow them?"
The other two agreed, calling their friend Bonnie. When Bonnie showed up, they quietly followed the two girls. The four of them were confused when they started walking down an abandoned road that leads into the forest. As they got closer, they saw a cottage, overgrown plants, vines and a garden that looked like it was starting to get weeded. The brown haired girl came out of the house with a sketchbook and pencil, she sat at a table that was there and drew. The four teens walked up to her. Bree looked up at them and was startled, jumping up from her seat, knocking over the chair.
"Sorry to scare you. I'm Elena. These are Stefan, Damon and Bonnie." Elan started but was interrupted by the door opening, revealing a pair of glasses/goggles. The black haired girl stood in front of them, her arms crossed, eyes narrowed (not that could tell) as Bree hid behind her.
"Private property. Please leave at once." Ianthe's accent surprised the four of them. Bonnie stepped forward.
"We noticed you in town and that you were new, we just wanted to introduce ourselves." She said as Ianthe shook her head.
"Bennett witches, I can never seem to get rid of you, am I? Look I do not care, leave us be." Ianthe sneered, quietly, Bonnie's last name with venom.
"We know she's a vampire." Elan said, stepping in front, crossing her arms, her face determined.
"So? Oh, you better not be threatening her." Ianthe said quietly, Bree holding onto her tightly.
"Ianthe?" Bree whispered to her older sister.
"And if I am?" Elena said, her friends looking at her confused. Ianthe chuckled darkly, she wasn't in the mood. Had just gotten word that Edward was marrying that human, and now not only trespassing, but having her sister being threatened.
"So you know of vampires? Witches? Let me guess, werewolves?" Ianthe said as Elan nodded. "Do you know what I am?"
"You're human, aren't you?" Elena asked, slightly confused as Damon and Stefan froze, their eyes turning to Ianthe.
"I thought...they were just stories." Stefan whispered.
"She's not human. Never was, were you?" Damon narrowed his eyes on her. Ianthe just shrugged.
Bonnie looked at Ianthe, sensing the strong magic that Ianthe held. "Your magic is..."
Ianthe looked at her, her head tilted slightly. "You have three guesses."
"You're a witch, a powerful one too." Bonnie said confidently, but Ianthe just smirked and shook her head.
"Two."
"Vampire?" Elena guessed, being stupid at this point.
"One."
"Necromancer." The two boys said in unison as Bonnie and Elena looked confused. However, Bonnie came into realization as Ianthe took off her glasses/goggles, showing off her eyes.
"Now I suggest you get off my property." She said as Stefan started to pull Elan away, the other two followed.
Elena got out of Stefan's grip, "What's a necromancer?"
Stefan looked at her, "Something you do not want to mess with." He continued to walk off as she turned to Bonnie.
"Necromancers are immortal beings that tend to control, and thrive off of death. Grandma once told me that necromancers are the all powerful cousin of witches and druids that no one likes." Bonnie said, her expression blank. "They are extremely dangerous, Grandma told me once of a necromancer that the Bennett witches have been trying to get to teach them. I think that was her."
"So, if she's super powerful, you'd think she'd help?" Elena asked, hopeful. Bonnie shook her head.
"I was told to stay far away from one if I ever meet one." Bonnie said as Elena asked why.
"Because they are literally death." Damon said, from behind the two.
