Wanda's POV:
As me, Nat, Clint, and Steve get out of the car, I check the time, to see it's a few minutes past 11. We look at the mentioned address, it really is an abandoned-looking warehouse. We head inside and the first thing we hear is muffled cheering, coming from further in the hallway.
We go further until we're greeted by a door. As we open it, the muffled cheering suddenly becomes very loud. The unexpected noise causes me to place my hands on my ears for a second. Just until I get used to it.
''What the hell is this place?'' Clint asks. None of us actually know, so without an answer, we keep going forward. I look around, seeing a lot of bleachers. They're all around the giant room, only in the center is a fighting ring.
All of the front rows are already full, so we sit at the back, on the highest bleachers. I look at the ring, to see 2 men fighting. They're both covered in blood, but that doesn't seem to bother them. They keep throwing punches and kicks towards each other.
At one point, even a sledgehammer gets involved. One of the goys swings the hammer, hitting the other guy right in his chest. The man falls down and rolls around in pain. But the other guy swings the sledgehammer the second time, hitting him right on the back.
The man screams, arching his back and trying to fight the pain. The other guy throws away the hammer, kicking the guy in the stomach multiple times. He then walks over to the edge of the ring, climbing on the ropes. He jumps up, landing on top of the other guy with his elbow first.
After that, the man doesn't move. The other guy gets off him, as he stays laying on the floor. I can clearly see his eyes still open, as blood is pouring out multiple spots on his body. He's dead. I see the other man raise his hands in victory, as the audience cheers for him.
''Why did he ask you to come here?'' Steve asks. I'm asking myself the exact same question.
''And we have the first kill of the day! Give it up for Franklin!'' the announcer says, as the audience cheers.
We keep watching for about the next half an hour. Steve and Clint have been trying to get us to go home, but Nat and I are too intrigued to find out who the man from yesterday is. Well, at least I am.
''Wanda, maybe we should really go.'' Nat says.
''No, wait. Maybe the next one is our guy.'' I reply, making her sigh.
''You've been saying that for the last 30 minutes.'' she replies. I sigh and turn my attention back to the ring, as the dead body is taken away. Maybe she's right, the man is not showing. He just sent us on a goose chase.
I'm about to get up when I see an oddly familiar face enter the ring. I tap Nat's arm to get her attention, but it looks like she already knows. The man from yesterday stands in a corner of the ring, as a much bigger man is standing on the opposite corner.
''Now, one of the fights you've all been waiting for.'' the announcer speaks ''Mike Tyson!''
The big guy raises his arms, as some of the audience cheers. Most of them, though, do the opposite.
''And the 2-year straight champion, Ryan Reed! Give it up for the man, ladies, and gents. Because this fight is one of those you won't forget.'' the announcer speaks. The man from yesterday, Ryan, raises his arm to greet the audience. Suddenly the whole room bursts into cheers and yells.
''He's most likely using a stage name. We have to stay until the end and find him after.'' Nat says. I nod and turn my attention back to the ring.
As the announcer steps out of the ring, Ryan takes off his white button-up shirt. He throws it outside the ring, as his upper half catches my attention. His whole upper body is covered in permanent scars and some fresh bruises.
Y/N's POV:
As I throw my shirt away, I turn my attention to Mike. He cracks his knuckles, looking at me with a sick grin.
''You're soon going to be dragged off this ring, covered in fresh blood.'' Mike growls. I smirk, keeping my chill.
''Then I suggest you get to work. 'Cause I ain't going down easy.'' I reply. That seems to get him angered, as he charges at me. I leap out of the way, as we switch places on the ring. They pay me for entertaining the crowd, so I'm gonna play with this guy a bit. Taking him down straight up could cost me some money.
I'm also gonna let him hit a few shots. After all, my goal is to entertain, not kill. But killing entertains the crowd, and I get paid. So.. oh well.
As he charges at me again, as I dodge his attack. I jump up and lock his head in a thigh lock. I spin around, grabbing the ring's edge and slamming his head down to the floor, taking his body with.
''Come on, I expected a lot more from you, Nike.'' I say, circling around him. The crowd cheers after hearing my words.
''It's Mike, Reed.'' he snarls, causing me to smirk.
''Yeah, but after I'm done with you, you'll be lucky if anyone takes you on the black market. You'll have to brand yourself.'' I say. A group of loud cheers come from the crowd, as I can basically see steam leaving Mike's ears.
He charges at me in anger, but I just dodge and kick his back, making him fall down. Another fighter hands him a sledgehammer from outside the ring. Anyone who is familiar with these fights, know that there is only one rule - win. No one gives a shit if you come out alive or dead. So weapons are allowed.
He stands up and swings the sledgehammer at my head. I block it with my elbow, punching his side. I purposely let him keep the hammer, not taking it when I had the chance. He swings again, and this time I let it hit my side. I roll on the ground, shaking off the pain. And also stalling, though I don't feel much pain.
It works, as he walks over to me and tries to swing the hammer at my head. I manage to roll out in time, barely escaping death. I decide it's been enough, so the next time he swings at me, I grab the hammer out of his hands.
I jump up, slamming it in his side. He falls down, gripping his side in pain. I throw away the sledgehammer, grabbing a ladder from outside the ring. A rather tall one, too. I climb up, looking down at Mike. He's now looking at me with wide eyes.
''Please, no.'' he whimpers. But I just let myself fall off the ladder, finishing Mike with an elbow to the stomach. I stay on the ground for a few seconds, before standing back up. The crowd bursts into cheers, as I walk to the edge of the ring.
I run my hand through my hair, messily combing it back. I catch my shirt that's being thrown at me and slip it on, not bothering to button it up. Since it's white, the blood from my side is soaking in the shirt, leaving a crimson mark.
I raise my arm to the crowd, as their cheers become louder. I scan them with my eyes until I see an oddly familiar face. The beautiful brunette from yesterday.
So she was intrigued to find me.
I flash her a smile, before letting my arm fall and turning around. I leave the ring, walking to the locker room.
