Skye's pov
I finished the report I was filling in and added it to the pile, before realising that I had none left to do. Smiling to myself slightly, I put my pen back in the pen pot and got up, picking the pile of reports up at the same time.
I looked up at Hotch's office, and saw the light still on, so I decided to go and take the files to him now, rather than in the morning. Everyone else had already left, so the bullpen was silent as I walked through it.
Only a few seconds after I knocked on the door, I heard him shouting for me to come in, so I pushed the door open with my elbow and walked in.
"Hey, sorry to bother you. I thought I'd bring the reports by now, rather than tomorrow, if that's okay," I said.
"Yeah, that's fine, thank you," he gestured to a spot on his desk where I set the pile down.
"You heading out soon?" I asked.
"Not just yet, I'm just finishing up some paperwork," he replied.
"I'll help you with it if you want, it'll get done quicker, then you can get home," I offered, but Hotch shook his head.
"No, it's fine. I don't want to keep you, I'm sure you've got much better things to be doing with you night off," he said, and I laughed.
"Not really, I was just going to start painting my new apartment, it's got a lot of work to be done. What about you, any plans?" I asked.
"No. Jack's at his mom's house, so I'll probably just stay late here," Hotch responded.
After a few seconds of silence, I was about to say something, when Hotch spoke again.
"You need any help with your apartment? I'm no profesional but I've helped Morgan with a few renovation things before," Hotch offered, and I smiled at him.
"Sure, but only if you want to, you don't have to," I said nervously.
"Of course," he replied.
"Now. If you're helping me with my apartment, then you're going to have to let me help you with some of this paperwork, it's only fair," I said, leaning over and taking a stack of the reports and a pen from his desk.
"I'm not going to be able to stop you, am I?" He chuckled, watching as I sat down on the couch in his office.
"Nope," I said, putting emphasise on the p.
*an hour later*
I pulled into the parking lot of my apartment building, and saw Hotch's car not far behind mine.
After we'd finished all the paperwork, we'd headed out, and he'd followed me back to mine, since he'd never been there before and didn't know where it was.
As we walked down the corridor towards my apartment, I pulled my keys out my pocket.
"Just gonna warn you, it's a mess. It was nothing like the pictures to start with, and I haven't had much time to do anything with it seeing as I moved here a day before I started at the BAU," I said, turning towards Hotch.
"It's fine, honestly. One of the many problems of having no free time because of the job," he joked, and I laughed, pushing the door open.
"You want a drink?" I asked, throwing my bag down onto the couch.
"Can I have some water please?" Hotch answered, and I nodded.
"Sure," I said, going over and filling two glasses with water.
