As Firey and Leafy sat in the small diner, they struggled to find something to talk about. Firey was fighting off the urge to confess, while Leafy was trying to once again push her feelings away. "So Firey..." Leafy began, breaking the silence, "Anything on here look good to you? I kinda have no idea what to get." Firey immediately blushed, as he had been secretly staring at Leafy this whole time, not taking one look at the menu placed in front of him. "U-UH.." Firey quickly looked down at his menu, picking the first thing in front of him. "...the fish and chips sounds good. I'm gonna get that." Leafy nodded, "Hmm...yea! That does sound pretty good! I'll get that as well." She shot Firey a smile, which made him blush harder. Leafy didn't notice this, as she was trying to get herself to stop feeling to jittery.

"So, what will we be having here today?" The waitress asked, coming up to the table. Firey, who was usually super confident, found himself nervous to speak. He couldn't get that smile out of his head, it filled him with so much happiness, he wanted more. Leafy giggled, and turned. "Well, since Firey is too nervous to speak it seems...both of us will have the fish and chips. 2 orders." The waitress nodded, and smiled at the 2. "Alright, I'll have that out to you guys in a bit. Is there anything I can get you guys while you wait? Any appetizers?" Leafy looked over to Firey, as to ask if he wanted anything. "Uh...Onion Rings would be nice." He said, trying to avoid eye contact with Leafy.

The waitress nodded once more. "Alright. I've got those orders in. Onion Rings will be out in 5, and the rest will be out in about 20." Leafy and Firey both nodded, then turned their attention back to each other. Before the silence could consume them, Leafy thought of a topic. "Say Firey, what do you think about Band?" This question grabbed his immediate attention, as he's always been curious about it. "Well...it seems really fun! I think I could see myself being apart of it. I probably wouldn't be too good though...still though. It would be really cool to probably try. How bout you? Your thoughts?"

Leafy looked like she's been waiting for someone to ask her this question. "I actually played in band back in Middle School. It was a bunch of fun!" Right as she finished that sentence, her voice trailed off, growing quiet. "Then...why'd you leave? Did something happen?" Firey asked, very curious. "Oh, not at all! I figured I'd have more fun on the...activities club..." Firey rolled his eyes, something Leafy wasn't expecting.

"If I'll be real with you for a second, that club is absolutely boring. You guys get little freedom, anything you want to do has to be approved first by the Council. To be honest, you would have been way better off in Band instead of some dumb club that does little to nothing." As much as Leafy wanted to be angry at Firey for saying such a thing...he was right. She would've been better off doing band. Why did she give that up for something so dumb?

And while yes, the club was still slightly new, there was a reason nearly anyone wanted to join. It's higher up was the Council, who basically only ever needed them if they couldn't come up with any ideas. And that...that was hardly ever. The only reason why they needed them this time around for the fair was because the other club above them wanted the activities club to participate this year for once.

"Yea...I guess that makes sense." Leafy sighed. "I really shouldn't have thrown something so great out and replaced it with something stupid." Firey looked off to the side, crossing his arms. "I didn't mean for that to upset you, The Activities club isn't that bad if you really think about it. The main thing it really needs in my opinion is some actual freedom to do what they want. Your club makes activities so the others in the school have a fun time when events roll around, so why can't you have your freedom to make them happy? The council doesn't even know what they're doing to be honest. Think back to the last event thing we had. Tell me about it."

"Uh...it was just jumpers and a waterslide no one could go down because it was cold...and the bean bag toss that they were charging like 5 bucks for. What about it?" Firey smiled, leaning closer to the table. "I want you to tell me what you would have done. How you would have made it more enjoyable than it was." Leafy sat there for a moment, before she really started to think. She knew there was so much she could have done, and the ideas began to rush in.
