Sitting on your desk, twirling your pencil in your hand, you struggle to keep yourself awake from the last assignment you had to complete for the day. You've been busy the entire day with a lot of heroes work that your body muscles took a toll on you afterward when you went to the dorms. After a couple of frustrating yawns, you finally put your pencil down, stretching your arms and back, as a sigh escaped your mouth.

You decided to take a short break, your first break all day. You make your way down to the kitchen and lounge area. You kept the hall lights off so you wouldn't disturb your classmates since it was past curfew hours, so you used your phone camera light to guide your way. As you quietly make your way through the halls, you can hear the subtle snores of your peers from all around you. It's not until you make it to the lounge that you turn on the lights.

You weren't sure what to make, so you decided to whip yourself something warm to fit the calm, breezy night atmosphere. With your mug in hand, you stand in front of the lounge window, enjoying a time of relaxation and sincerity alone while you inhale the fumes of the drink in your hands. As you stand there admiring the midnight scenery, something in the dark catches your eye a few trees away, almost making you drop your mug.

You wanted to see what it was, but the lighting restricted your perspective of the outside. Taking matters into your own hands, you decided to go outside to investigate what was out there. It's probably nothing, but you didn't want to risk it if it was a villain that somehow found their way to the UA school grounds. Not wanting to cause attention to yourself, you pretended you didn't see anything and slowly walked away from the window, setting your mug on the table nearby.

You make your way to the door that leads outside. The door is a little loud when opened and closed, so you try your best it doesn't give away your position. It was a close call, but you think you're in the clear and make your way to where you think you saw the silhouette earlier. Once you turn the corner, you stay close to the wall where the light from the lounge doesn't shine so you can see where the silhouette figure might be.

You scan the surrounding area and spot a figure leaning on a tree. You were about to activate your quirk when the figure spoke in a voice that you are familiar with echoes in your ears. Just wanting to make sure it was who it was, you exposed yourself to the light to look closer at the silhouette behind the tree. Before you take another step, glowing yellow eyes appears from the darkness to look in your general direction, causing your skin to crawl with chills and your blood to grow cold.

It swiftly lunges towards you in such graceful motion. Large dark hands get a hold of you, barely giving you enough time to brace yourself. A cheerful voice bursts out of the shadow as it embraces you into a hug. You didn't resist and gave a warm smile. "Y/N! We knew it was you! I feel like we haven't seen you in forever." Dark Shadow cheerfully shouted.

You couldn't help but laugh at Dark Shadow's excitement. It has been a while since you've seen him since school started. We occasionally see each other in the halls to get to class, but we haven't exchanged words. Now that we are here. Alone out in the esthetically pleasing chilling night. It feels weird to start a conversation with him again after so long, but you're excited to see your best friend you haven't seen.

You pat Dark Shadow to calm him down, "Aww, I miss you too, Dark Shadow." You looked towards the trees again, seeing the dark figure clearly, "It's good to see you too, Tokoyami."

Tokoyami slowly emerged from beyond the trees, his natural stern face staring in my direction. You could tell he was trying to hide his excitement to see me. Why else would he be around your dorm buildings at this time? Although, there are times you can't tell what Tokoyami is thinking due to his natural bird-like looks. I guess there's a perk to the way he emotes his feelings. You smile as he nods in appreciation while looking back at Dark Shadow next to you, "So, what brings you out here? Going on your usual night stroll and wanting to stop by?" you sarcastically asked, knowing the answer to your question.
