It's almost noon and Jack isn't up yet. He sleeps in, but not this late. The other guys are just brushing it off. Maybe he just has a bug. Either way, I'm gonna go check on him. "Hey Lav, wanna come with me to wake up dadda?" I crouch down to the little girl. She quickly nods, smiling happily. I pick her up and we make our way to mine and Jack's room.

"Ok, we have to be quiet," I explained to the toddler. She places her tiny finger on her lips, signaling that she'll be 'shushy'. I carefully open the door and tiptoe over the king-size bed in the middle of the room. I set Lavender on the bed before softly nudging Jack's shoulder. "Jack, it's almost 12 o'clock. You should probably get up, I'll make you some food." I smile. He groans, "I don't feel good. I feel tingly and I have a headache." He whines, laying his head in my lap. "That's not good. Come here, I'll carry you downstairs and we can cuddle." I swoop him up in my arms, walking slowly so Lav can keep up. Soon as we made it to the bottom of the stairs, I saw Lavender run over to Daniel, "Dadda no feel good!" She explained, pointing at us.

I placed Jack in the corner of the couch, covering him with a blanket. "What happened? You were fine last night?" Jonah asks, going into mom mode, reaching up to feel Jack's head. "Yeah, I know. I just feel tingly and tired and I have a headache." Jack pouts. "Huh? Weird... I don't know what could be causing this." Jonah thought. He got up to get the boy a glass of water. "C-Corbyn, I feel funny. I can't see-" Jack was cut off by something none of us had seen before. I look over, only to see my boyfriend convulsing next to me.

"JONAH! HELP!" I scream, not knowing what to do. He runs over and sees the situation. "Oh god! Um, lay him down on his side. Make sure he can breathe. Zach call 911, Daniel keep Lav calm. I'm gonna get a wet rag then flag down the ambulance." We all jump into action. I saw Jonah pull his phone out and start a stopwatch, assumingly to track the duration of the seizure?

I lay Jack down on the couch, on his side like Jonah said. Then I heard a loud cry. "Daddy! No! Daddy!" Lavender was bawling at the sight as Daniel tried his best to calm the toddler. "Zach grab some towels and set them on the coffee table, I'm gonna be outside waiting for the paramedics to arrive." Jonah commanded. Zach ran into the laundry room and came back with a stack of towels. All of this is going on and Jack is still seizing. It's not showing any sign of stopping. "Jack, I don't know if you can hear me. You're gonna be fine!" I began to hear the sirens pull up. "Jack you got this! Come on baby, I love you!" I cried, not knowing what to do.

The paramedics came into the house and swarmed Jack. "Epinephrine push." one of the paramedics says before injecting Jack with something. Within about 20 seconds, the shaking had gone down to small tremors. Jonah ran to the sink and grabbed the wet rag, bringing it and placing it on Jack's head.

Slowly I realized what all the things Jonah was telling us to get were for. The rag, to cool him down. The stopwatch was to track it because he stopped the watch when the seizure stopped. "How long was he seizing before we got here?" the girl paramedic asked. "6 minutes and 15 seconds. The seizure had already started when looked over, so probably 5 or 10 seconds more." Jonah explains. Anyways, the towels are to wrap are clean up. Jack lost complete control over his entire body, meaning he also lost control of his bladder muscles for that brief time. Everyone has accidents. He has a very good reason behind his, and very good friends who are gonna help him.

Jack slowly woke up, not sure what was going on. "What happened?" He tried to talk but his throat muscles weren't functioning yet. He gave it a few more seconds, "what happened? Why are there paramedics in our house?" He panicked. "Jack, you had a seizure. You're alright though. We got ya." Daniel explains, obviously still terrified by the prior events. "Dadda? You're ok!" Lavender tried to scream happily but all the crying she did, kept her from doing so. "Did I seriously piss myself? Come on! Not one thing can be right with me!" Jack began to cry, still scared my the whole situation. "Hey, you're okay now. I'll go get you of my sweats, then we'll go to the doctor to get ya checked out. Sound good?" I smile. He weakly nods and I quickly run up to our room, grabbing the first pair of sweatpants I saw.

When We got Jack to the hospital, they took him for some tests. He had an e.e.g it's pretty much an EKG just on your head. He had multiple rounds of blood work done. He had to get an MRI and c-scan. Luckily he was on the fast tracklist, so it didn't take too long. Once the doctor finally got all the results, She came in and gave us the verdict. "So, you have epilepsy. We called your parents and asked about any random "spacing out episodes." They both said you have done that since you were a child, correct?" "Yeah, I mean, doesn't everyone?" Jack questioned. "Yes, but you weren't always spacing out. You were having absence seizures. They are similar, but in the seizure, you don't recollect anything that's going on around you, you kinda lose track of time like spacing out. That one of the reasons they get mixed up so often."

"We looked back in your record, and saw that you had an MRI when you were a toddler. We compared that one with your one from this evening. We know where your epilepsy is stemming from. You have a partial absence of the corpus callosum. This area of the brain is where the two hemispheres meet. Yours, didn't form correctly when you were being developed. It won't affect you much, other than the seizures. We have filled a prescription for 50mg of Zonizomide for you." "Thank you so much, doc." I hug her, knowing she's gonna be helping Jackso much  in the long run. "Of course. It's my job! I'll go get that prescription and his discharge papers and I can send you two on your way." she smiles, making her may to get what she needed to get. "Did you hear what I was saying to you when you were having that seizure?" I ask, smiling slightly. "No, what'd you say?" "nothing. I just said some stuff because... Because I was scared I gonna lose you." I look down, feeling a tear roll down my cheek. "Oh my God Corbyn! No, don't say that!" He wraps his arms around me. "I like this." I sigh, Putting my head on this shoulder. "Me too, but it's better with Lavvy so let's go home." Jack carefully gets up and grabs the discharge papers and medicine. They walk out the door and see the doctor that had been helping them. "I didn't wanna ruin the moment, so I just set it there. There is a list of symptoms and things to look out for on the discharge papers," she explained with a smile. I put my arm on Jack's shoulder and we walk through the hospital to the door they came in. Jonah and they boys and Lav already waiting for them.
