Born in the spring on 1998, Brooklyn "Brooke" Gallagher is the second girl born into the Gallagher family. Many say she's a copy and past of her big sister, something Brooke took as a compliment for many years. Brooke loves her family more than anything, taking on two shitty part-time jobs by the time she was sixteen to help provide for them.
Her dedication to her family often holds her back from living her life to the fullest. Brooke finds herself stuck between taking care of her siblings, older and younger, or living a normal life.
She's missed more days of school than she can count to take care of baby Liam, had her savings stolen by her alcoholic father more than she'd like to admit, and has swung a baseball bat on too many rouge drug dealers to even pretend it's normal. Brooklyn doesn't crave normality, but she does wonder about it from time to time.
But there's nothing normal about being a Gallagher.

obviously, the story is set in the shameless universe so things will get pretty toxic and there will be some mature themes. the family dynamics here are toxic at times and the relationships brooke engages in can be toxic as well. i don't condone that shit nor do i want you to. if that turns you off, please click off the story and wait for the next one! it's okay! take care of yourself <3
ALSO! the story will start from season one but it won't take place in 2011 because if it did brooke would literally be like 12. the first chapter will take place when she's 17 and she'll, ya know, get older with time, duh. all the other characters will stay their canon age even if that doesn't really add up timeline-wise but . whatever it's fiction kfdjndfjs anyways, brooke's age will be mentioned throughout the story but just didn't wanna start and yall think she was a literal child!
