Year 2004

Years passed. I knew when I said yes (actually nodded) to Rachel things would start to change and it did. Not all of it changed though. My mom, instead of drinking she engrossed herself in working, even though she isn't usually home, at least she wasn't drinking. My dad, still the same as ever. Totally focused on his work, but now he usually stays for dinner. We weren't like before Mama Nana passed, but at least they weren't fight as much as before. After that day I found myself a second family, much better than my own family, but still. I'm currently in Junior High with my awesome best friends, Sam and Mike.

Samantha "Sam" Allen: Pretty; smart (she get's straight A's); not a nerd; currently modeling in a fashion industry, which is very much obvious, since her mom owns one of the most rich fashion industries. Micheal "Mike" Harrison; Football quarterback; Egoistic; Sarcastic; Amazing childhood friend; awesome; son of Rachel and Donald Harrison; has a sister named Diane, who is in college; smartass (except for english); two years older than me.

"Hey Dork! Mom wants us to drop by the grocery before going to the game." A boy with brown hair and amazing greenish/grey eyes peered at the door. Did I say amazing? "M'kay!" I replied without looking at him. "You do know that Pirates of the Carribean can wait right?" Mike said while crossing his arms and leaning on the door. "Come on! You know you love this part! Captain Jack Sparrow is the best." I said while standing up. "You mean Johnny Depp." He said while raising his eyebrow. "Ugh. You are such a girl." I threw him a pillow near by and stuck out my tongue. "Ugh. You are such a kid." He said, while imitating my voice. "Kids! You're gonna be late!" Aunt Rachel shouted. "We better go. Mom's gonna explode." He said while walking away from the door. "Oh no. Really?" I said in my most sarcastic voice. "Oh, how mature." He said while we were walking down the stairs.

I grabbed my coat and wore my boots. "Thanks for having me Aunt Rachel! " I shouted. "Be sure you come back!" She shouted back. "Jesus. You two are destroying the ears of those who hear." Said Mike. "You're mom loves me." I said while sitting shotgun. I would drive, but sadly I have no license yet. "She loves you too much and you tell me I have a huge ego. Is Sam going to come?" He said while driving. Mike drives like he carries something special inside the car. Not slow just normal. "Ha-ha. It's true your ego is huge much bigger than your list of girls. And No. You know how sam hates sports let alone understand football." I said while turning on the radio. The last time I took Sam to a football game she asked me tons of questions on why the ball was just being carried and why were they chasing it.

After the game she saw Daniel, her number 8 in her black book and went with him to the victory party.
"Oh Yeah. She's a pain in the butt." He sais while parking his car at the grocery store. "Yeah, but you liked her butt." I smirked at him. He laughed. "I remember that. You guys were a freshman. Good times." I shook my head as we were looking for whatever Aunt Rachel needed. She was baking when we left. I laughed. Remembering the memories. "Remember when she gracefully landed on her butt when we went on the ice rink?" He laughed while getting a box of kitkats. "Yeah! She bought an ice skating outfit on the way. It was your birthday right?" I smiled and nodded. I remember that day well. It was also Mama nana's anniversary, but even so, my parents didn't celebrate my birthday with me, because of work. I had to go to the cementery with Mike and Sam, like every other year anyway. There was always something special about Mama nana. She always told adventurous stories that takes you to another whole world. She would say stuff like, "We live in a world that is full of beauty, charm, and adventure. There is no end to the adventures that we can have if we can only seek them with our eyes open."

I Miss Mama Nana and my family. Mike's father, works around the country, he travels around the world, checking his businesse, but always come home for special occasions. I met him when I was 12 years old. It was christmas day. He was tall, like an older version of Mike, but has much greener eyes and tall too. He was kind and thoughtful and I can't help feeling jealous of Mike. That day, I told Mike what really happened that day.
