CHAPTER 27: The Legacy

Its been three days since we were rescued and met our families, Im so happy I get to see my mum again. She told me how they all were hiding together at Juless house. Well apparently when we left for the festival our parents decided to meet at Juless house and when they all gathered and were just having fun talking all of a sudden the house shook like an earthquake.

When she mentioned earthquake we all gave each other look and told them that we didnt feel the earthquake or anything.

Then they told us when the earthquake was over they all looked out the window to see that everything in the neighbourhood was destroyed and as it was already night time they didnt feel safe to go out the house which I think they did the right thing there or else we wouldnt have met them again.

Their neighbourhood was pretty much stranded when they looked out the window and then they heard the news on the TV that something had been taken over the people in the country and they are behaving weirdly so they thought they would not leave the place but then they all heard loud pounding on the front door of the house, they all got pretty scared and then Juless dad went to the door hesitantly watching from the peephole and saw there were a group of people standing in their doorway that were looking exactly like the people shown on the TV a few seconds ago so they got really very scared and didnt open the door. But the people outside were still pounding the door continuously and they knew that those people will get inside any time so they all got up and ran back out the backdoor and they hid themselves in the cellar till the help reach them.

Im really very grateful that we survived this mess and are all okay at the moment.

Its currently 07:30 pm in the night and we are all siting in the cafeteria and having our dinner for the night talking and laughing and eating. Im sitting in between my mum and Alan, Brandon is sitting besides my mum oh her right side and his dad is sitting on his left, Mr. Charles is sitting besides Alan on his left side and the twins are between Maia and Mr. Charles. Allison sits opposite me and on her left sits her parents, on her right sits Jules with her parents and little brother and besides Jules sits Owen with his dad and his younger brother and on Allisons left side besides her parents is sitting Alans older brother and his mum.

After finishing dinner I noticed that my mum and Mr. Charles were constantly staring at each other with narrow eyes I wonder what that was about so I decided to ask my mum about it.

Okay so whats going on? I ask her directly.

What do you mean? she asks confusedly looking in my eyes while we are just sitting and talking.

Why are you staring at Mr. Charles? I confront her making her eyes pop out a bit after being caught red handed by me and I raise my eyebrows to indicate her to speak, after a few seconds of looking she sighs and answers.

He just looks familiar; I dont know but I think Ive met him before. she speaks slowly and thoughtfully.

What do you mean? Do you know him or something? I ask her shockingly.

I dont know. I dont remember. Thats what Im trying to figure out. she explains further.

After a minute of thinking realisation dawns on her and she looks at me with wide eyes and mouth hung open I whisper a what? To her but she just ignores me and speaks directly to Mr. Charles.

Um.. excuse me, what did you say your  name is? my mum asks to Mr. Charles.

Ah its Charles? he answers but it comes like more of a question though.

Charles? You mean Charles Davies? she asks him to which he looks at her in shock and the rest of us confused.

Mum. Do you know him? I ask her cautiously.
