"What on earth are you wearing?" Ronnie said as her mother came down the stairs followed by her twin.
"I didn't have time to pick up laundry," Lorelai Gilmore said stressed looking down at her jean shorts and pink t-shirt. "My stupid alarm clock didn't purr."
"If your alarm clock supposed to purr, then I would advise you to buy a new one," Ronnie said before flinging her backpack on.
"I've tried telling her that," Rory agreed.
"Believe me girls, when I get back that alarm clock goes straight in the trash," Lorelai said before heading out the door with her daughters.
Today was the Gilmore's first day at Chilton. Lorelai was proud, Rory was nervous and Ronnie was waiting for it to be over already. Ronnie knew that attending this school meant that she had to work harder to keep her grades up.

It was safe to say that Ronnie missed Stars Hollow High. Already before lunch she had been loaded with homework and test form the teachers she had to catch up on. She had made a few acquaintances, but no one even came close to her friends at Stars Hollow High. However it seemed that her twin sister had had an even worse first day than her so far.As the Gilmore girls was heading to history class, they decided to stop by Rory's locker. Rory seemed to struggle to get it open causing Ronnie to roll her eyes. Just as Ronnie was about to offer her help, the locker flew open sending Rory flying back crashing into none other that Paris Geller. Paris's history project that she had held dropped to the ground and crushed into pieces. Uh oh, Ronnie thought.
As Rory began to apologize, Paris sent her the nastiest look Ronnie had ever seen. "Of course you would sabotage me, you little prick."
Before Rory could respond, Ronnie spoke up. "Listen, you control freak, it was an accident."
"Just stay away from me," Paris said as she picked up her project marching into class.
"Just ignore her. Let's just get to class," Ronnie said. "Excuse me, we need Mrs. Ness, History?"
The boy who was walking by stopped and looked at her, sending her a smile. He was gorgeous. Brown hair with beautiful blue eyes. Not to mention his fit physique. "It's behind you. I'm josh by the way," the boy spoke as he reached his hand forward.
Ronnie politely shook it. "I'm Veronica," she said, her twin furrowing her brows as she used her full name.
"I'll see you around, Veronica," the boy winked at her before leaving.
"Since when do you go by Veronica?" Rory asked.
"I'm trying to blend in with the other snobby students. Plus, the teachers has called me that all day and I don't have the energy to correct them all the time" she explained. "Besides, how fun isn't it living a double life. Snobby rich girl by day, humble small town girl by night."
"You're something else," Rory laughed. "Let's get to class. Before Paris lock the door for us."

The they went by and before the twins knew it, their first day at Chilton was over. They got in their mother's car and let out a big sigh at the same time."So, how was it?" Lorelai asked exited.
"I need an aspirin," Ronnie answered dramatically as she rubbed each side of her head.
"It was just one big, long, scary, tweedy, bad eight hours," Rory told her mother. "Plus, one of the girls already hates me and one of the guys calls me 'Mary'."
Ronnie let out a laugh from the backseat. "Yeah, he was a weirdo."
"I can't believe they still do that," Lorelai stars as she laughed along with her youngest daughter.
"Why? What does it mean?" Rory asked confused.
"Mary, like Virgin Mary. It means they think you look like a goody-goody," Lorelai explained.
"You're kidding."
"It could've been worse," Ronnie said. "I don't know how, but I'm sure there's something worse."
"Something worse than biblical insults?" Rory asked sarcastically. "What an advanced school."

The trio made their way back to Stars Hollow. Lorelai and Rory had went to meet up with Lane, but Ronnie had already made plans with Matt. She made her way over to his house and knocked on the Thompson family's door. After a few seconds Charlie, Matt's younger brother, opened the door.
"Ronnie!" He yelled as he gave her a hug. Charlie loved Ronnie. He didn't understand why his brother didn't man up and confessed his feelings for her. Everyday he would tell Matt that if he didn't make a move, someone else would.
"It's nice to see you, Charlie," Ronnie said as she returned the hug. "Is Matt here?"
"He's in his room," Charlie told her as he let her in the door. "He really missed you at school today."
Ronnie ignored the fluttering feeling in her heart. "That's nice. I would've been mad if he forgot about me after one day."
"Matt would never forget you," Charlie said instantly causing the girl to laugh. "He talks about you all the time. Even when he sleeps he mutters your name."
The Gilmore girl stopped walking as she heard this words. She turned towards Charlie to ask further about this, but he was already gone. A small blush appeared on her cheeks as she made her way up the stairs.
Was Charlie being serious, or was he just adding on? But what if it was true. What did it mean? Did Matt like her more than a friend? Did he just care so much for her that occasionally she would appear in his mind?
Her thoughts came to an end as she opened the door to Matt's bedroom. The boy was laid on his bed, reading a book. He immediately looked up from his book as she walked in.
"Hey," he said as he put down his book. "How was it?"
"Good good," she said as she sat down at the bed. The boy sent her a skeptical look and she broke. "It was awful. I'm behind on school work that I was already behind on. If that makes sense. Not to mention the other students. Snobby rich kids is not my cup of tea. They got nothing on the students at Sats Hollow High"
Matt laughed. "Well, it's nice to know you didn't forget about us after one day."
"Wait, what was your name again?" She asked jokingly. "Mike?"
The Thompson boy playfully shoved her. "So, what do you want to do?"
She laid back in the bed. "Well, I'm gonna lay here as you massage my feet and tell me all about the day at Stars Hollow High. Don't leave out any details. Well, except for anything related to Angelica Smith. Don't you dare mention her."
"You certainly are spoiled," Matt sighed as he grabbed her feet.
"It's what I deserve," she said relaxed as he begun to tell her about everything she had missed.
