Chapter 16

           - Very well. You want to be left alone. Done. But first ..... - He said, and Jack turned to see Pitch holding Ellie's ear

           - Ellie! - Jack reached for her, but he tightened his grip on her. He aimed his staff at Pitch, with a deadly gleam

           - The staff, Jack - Pitch shouted, and Jack's eyes widened - You have a bad habit of interfering. Now hand it over ...... And l'll let her go - Ellie shakes his head to keep from doing so

      His hands twitched around the staff, but finally he sighed and handed it to Pitch as he immediately grabbed it with a smile

           - Allright, now let her go - Jack said, holding out his hand, but Pitch looked at him for a moment

           - No - he said and Jack's eyes widened and looked at him angrily - You said you wanted to be alone. So be alone! - Ellie glared at Pitch and bit him, and he cried out in pain and threw her in the air and fell into a hole

           - No! - Jack shouted, and then Pitch broke his staff, causing him to writhe in pain. Pitch seizes the opportunity and uses black magic to hit an iceberg and fall into the same ravine with Ellie. Pitch laughed and tossed his broken staff. She was cold and curled up in a ball. When he recovered, he looked around and saw her and approached her

           - Ellie - he said and took her in his arms, embracing her - Everything is fine. Sorry, all l can do is keep you cold. Pitch was right. l make a mess of everything - Ellie looked at him sadly, then thought of his capsule. She jumped out of his hands and went into the pocket of his hood

           - Jack - the capsule said and he looked down and saw that his pocket shone with a golden light, and he stumbled back in shock. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his capsule with Ellie on it. She sat at his feet and nodded, and he pressed the gem and activated. He recovered from his trance for a few minutes and gasped as he looked at me

           - Did you see, did you see that? - he asked her and she shook her head - it was, it was me -   he went to her and picked her up, and she giggled - l had a family, l had a sister! l saved her! That's why you chose me! - he slowly looked up at the moon - l'm, l'm a Guardian - he stood up and put her on his shoulder and looked around to find no way out - We have to get out of here - he noticed his staff and slid over to him and tried to assemble it, but it didn't work. He focused on freezing it, and this time it worked, and it began to glow blue. He flew through the air and hugged her as he flew to Pitch's lair - Thanks Ellie, l owe you one - As soon as they arrived, they went to one of the cages with the mini fairies and opened it

           - Com'on! Lets go! - he shouted and they tried to fly, but failed - What's wrong? - he asked them, looking up at the other cells - None of you can't fly - he asked and they nodded. Ellie noticed the globe and turned Jack's head toward it - The lights - He flew down and looked at it - They're all going out - There was only one left, and Jack jumped on the globe - Jamie - he said and flew to Jamie's house 

On the North pole

      Everything was calm in the workshop. The Yeti carefully set down the red robot and sighed with relief. Suddenly the whole workshop began to shake and a strip of black sand flew around the globe, where only a few lights remained. Then Pitch appeared from the black sand

           - You're all free to go! We won't be needing any Christmas toys this year, thank you - he said and bowed - Nor ever again. Only six left! Six precious children who still believe in the Guardians with all their hearts - he noticed a light nearby and stepped on it as a yeti ran toward the Guardians - Make them five! Four! Three! Two! - he shouted happily as he danced all over the globe and snapped his fingers to extinguish the last one, but it didn't work and his smile dropped as he turned to it - One - He growled, noticing the Guardians - There you are. Nothing unusual, enjoy the last light, because in a few hours it will go out. One of your friends died, another betrayed you and Shelley. The beautiful princess of hell. She is the whole strength of the team. If she's not around, no one can stop me - Pitch laughed and disappeared, and the three Guardians thought anxiously and headed for the sleigh to go to Jamie's house. But on the way there they lost their strength. North walked hard, Tooth couldn't fly, and Bunny became a small, charming bunny.

      The sleigh landed roughly in front of Jamie's house. The deers freed themselves and fled

           - Ah! Moi deti! Come back! - North called out to them and tried to stand up, but almost fell

           - North?! Are you okay? - Tooth asked him as he leaned against her

           - It's official. My powers are kaput - he said, and she gasped when she saw Jack fly out of the house and land in front of the sleigh

           - Jack! Jack!- she exclaimed and tried to fly over to him but failed and fell

           - You okay? - Jack asked, helping her to her feet, and she just pulled part of the feathers of her head back, and North approached them, leaning on one of his swords

           - What are you doind here? - North asked him

           - Same as you - Jack answered, and Jamie left the house with Ellie in his arms

           - The last light! - North said

           - Wow! It is you! l mean it is! l knew it wasn't a dream - jamie said, approaching them

           - Elizabeth! - Tooth exclaimed and took her and with North hugged her and Jack smiled at Jamie

           - Jack! He sees you! - North's face lit up. Jack's smile dropped as soon as he noticed that Ellie's parents were missing

           - Wait, but, where's Shelley and Bunny? - he asked them

           - Losing Easter took its toll on all of us. Bunny most of all - North said

           - And Shelley - he asked

           - They quarreled with Bunny, and she returned to hell - Tooth explained in a sad voice. Then a little bunny jumped from the sleigh and Ellie rushed at him
