The tear dropped to the page, smudging the word I had just written. That was it, I needed to get out of there before anyone noticed I was crying.
I shoved my books and pencil case in my bag (forgetting a certain pen that shall be mentioned later), scraped my chair back and speed walked to the teachers desk. Passing the class paintings of still life and the other thirty kids in the class.
"Dentist appointment sir."
"Note please," Mr. Sharp had stuck his hand out for it, but I was already out of the classroom and around the corner before he noticed I was gone.

26 Weber Road was eerily quiet for 7pm, the four up four down modern house was meant to contain three people, but everyone was out eating and I was on my own waiting for the pizza delivery guy, sitting on the marble top counter in the big kitchen. So I decided to think of my options for what to do tomorrow. I was planning to ask Gareth to go to the cinema in town or something, but that had been thrown out of the bag six hours ago when he had called an to our relationship in the middle of the canteen. That was why I had left school so early pretending I had a dentist appointment, of course that had backfired an hour later when Mr. Sharp rang dad to ask why I wasn't back in school. Dad grounded me for a month and went out with Sarah to the expensive restaurant down the road.
Eventually, I decided that I would stay at home and do homework to leave the whole of Sunday for some serious reading. I love reading!
