Lies

Chapter 4

The girl looked around, she new exactly who she was looking for she just had to find him. She walked around the school, some people smiled apologetically at her. This confused her, she didn't need sympathy, she just had a job to do (no sympathy from bystanders needed).

"Just find this boy, slap him hard across the face and come back to me."

Yes that was her brief, there was no bystander sympathy needed.
There! In the middle of an all boy group, that was who she had come for. Six boys surrounded him. She would just have to get past them before they realised what she was doing.
As she approached them the target caught sight of her and looked shocked, this surprised her, he wasn't meant to recognise her!! Still she carried on without hesitation, that is until he said her name,
"Katie?" It was a question, but he didn't seem to be asking her name, he was asking what she was doing. Should she answer him or would that spoil the plan. In her confusion she had stopped, but instead of the boy looking away, he walked towards her stopping a few feet away.
"I'm sorry Katie, I didn't mean what I said, I still want us to be together"
"What are you talking about? We have never met"
"Katie, are you feeling ok? Do you need to sit down?"
"No! I don't need to sit down, I need to slap you across the," and with that the only thing on her mind, she gave him a slap mark on his cheek that would sting for a long time afterwards.
