"here's your room" the lady smiled before she opened the door.
the empty space was painted white and had a view of the school that showed the city.
"ah, it's so beautiful. thank you so much mrs. walldrof" i said in joy
she nodded her head and closed the door so i could get into the space. i sighed knowing that i don't want to decorate even though it looks fun. i rolled up my sleeves and started unboxing. the 2 hours felt long because it was tiring. i fell onto my bed with a bounce. my phone buzzed and it was an random text.

i sigh as i reply with:

i shut my phone as i sat up, thinking about what to wear. i decided to wear light green cargo pants, striped grey and black shirt and a leather coat.
"i'll get dressed when the sun starts to set" i thought
time went by fast. if i wanted to be known, i would have to get out.

i heard a knock and headed straight for the door.
"hey girly" she said as she walked in.
"you're already dressed?" i asked
"um duh?" she said confused
i sighed and started to get dressed myself.
"this is a good opportunity to meet hot guys, hook up, be a hot girl" she said getting up and walking around
"yeah i get it but still, i'm not really the party type" i sighed putting on my shirt
"okay well no one cares, you're going. and you're driving." lea replied
"fine. i'm only going so i could drive you back when you're high or drunk" i complained.
i was finally ready and turned off my light and took my room key and car keys. we headed down the stairs and went into the parking garage. i found my car and started it up as lea was making sure she had her phone. i prayed to god that nothing bad happens and that i'm not annoyed.
"okay you ready?" i asked
"ready" lea smiled
i backed out and started the mapquest to her house. the traffic was annoying so i knew it would get worse. i mean, it's san francisco, we should of known it would be like this. i honked a lot and got stressed out. i decided to go a different route that took the streets. it was faster and we got there quicker. as soon as i found somewhere to park, we heard the music booming. i sighed as lea got excited. the doors were wide open as her house was humongous.
"god damn... this house is huge" i said
"i know right. want something to drink?" lea asked
"no i'm fine. i have to be sober so i could take you home" i complained.
lea smiled and went over to get a few drinks. i looked around the house and went outside to the pool.
"you here to party?" a guy asked loudly
"no not really. i have to be sober so i could drive my friend" i shouted
he laughed a bit and took a sip of his drink.
"i'm joseph" he exclaimed
"i'm marissa" i replied with a smile
"you wanna get high?" another guy came to joseph
"nah, i'm gonna go inside" he answered
"you wanna come?" he added
"uh yeah sure" i agreed
we were walking in and i saw lea making out with a guy.
i shuttered in disgust as we walked upstairs
"why are you here joseph? you don't seem like the party type" i asked
he laughed a bit and replied, "my friend wanted me to come here i guess. i'm just drinking cause i'm bored"
"what about you" he said as he nudged my arm
we sat down on a couch , a few feet away from each other.
"well my friend as i said is a party girl and i usually just tag along so i could drive her home or make sure she's safe." i sighed
he studied my face, i noticed him staring deeply and decided to not look.
the silence wasn't awkward, it was just peaceful.
"i'm kinda sleepy though." he said as he relaxed
"where even is iris?" i said getting up
"iris... um i don't really know" he said nervously
"that was weird" i thought
"oh okay well i'm going to head downstairs, see you!" i waved
it was around 11:25 pm when i decided to look for lea.
i checked the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms but she wasn't there.
i groaned and went downstairs to find her in a bedroom giving someone a handy.
i immediately closed the door and decided to travel to one of the living rooms where 3 girls and 2 guys were doing coke.
"oh..." i said nervously
"you wanna try?" one of them asked
"no i'm good. shouldn't you guys like uh... chill out. it's like your 3rd line haha" i nervously laughed
"we've done more" a girl said
"oh yeah i need to stop being a cuuuunt. haha, im iris" she said
"i'm lilah, im always high on something" she giggled
"oh yeah i'm cody" he waved
and the other one didn't even listen and was just snorting the lines
"i'm marissa... i'll leave you guys to it" i said waving
i went back to the room and lea was about to leave.
"girl we are going to leave right now" i said grabbing her arm
"oh myyyy god nooo let me stayyy" she yelled
"no! you're drunk" i argued
"i don't give a fuck i'm staying" she yanked her arm
"lea no. i will drag you outside" i scolded
"then do it. but i'm staying here" she said
i grabbed lea's arm but before i could pull her she hit my stomach. i groaned in pain.
"fuck you, stay here" i said flipping her off
she rolled her eyes and went back to drinking.
i was about to leave when i remembered i left my phone on the couch. i entered the party and went upstairs
"is this yours?" joseph asked
"yeah. can i have it back" i asked
he nodded and gave it to me. i kissed his cheek and said goodnight.
"wait!" he said before i went downstairs
"what's your number?"
"oh yeah right... here"

i smiled and headed to my car.
the drive was calming. i was hungry and decided to get drive thru mcdonald's. i ate in the parking lot so my dorm wouldn't stink.
