I asked faintly, my voice dull and shaky,
“Can you help?”, to which no one replied.
I struggled, as I hugged my knees.
My body felt damp,
Gradually sinking deep in the pain.
My eyes starting getting blurry.
Closing my eyes, I felt the year drop, so cold,
Cold enough to freeze me.
Flashbacks were like a running reel,
Sending shivers, all over my body.
My eyelids slowly lifted , to notice,
A star shining brightly, I felt attached,
Allowing us to come together, even from afar,
It was twinkling above, so lonely,
As if it was looking for someone.
I smiled from within,
My lips dry, resisting the motion.
I went on to wipe the tears, letting it to be absorbed.
My nose tip felt so numb, as my hands tried to reach,
The eternity, lying so quiet.
I realized, loneliness was my wish,
And I was granted ages ago,
People pass by, just staring, unbothered,
To see the seemingly abyss, they whisper,
“The solitude of a wandering soul”
