Finally Home

Life is an ocean full of swerving tides to beat you down and to get you up. The storms are inescapable but after every storm comes a beautiful sunrise and shore open. Home is such a place where you can open your shores with the people who feel like home, where you can find rest after the storms. Come and ponder this journey with me once again as these characters reach their home.

(story begins)

The families have finally united. There is joy in the Tözün family. Yasemin and Nergis are in the kitchen to prep for dinner. Ada wants to join.

"Ah, Ada! You rest today. Let us work for the food.", Yasemin says stopping her. 

"Right. Ada, why don't you show Bora around the house?", Nergis smiles at her.

"You are so nice, my aunts.", Ada is thankful.

Then Ada takes Bora with her to give him a house tour. She shows him around.

"But where is your room?", Bora asks her.

"Ah, it's in the attic.", Ada smiles.

"Attic?", Bora asks raising his brows.

"Right. Follow me.", Ada tells him and moves upstairs. Bora follows her. 

They reach the top of the house where her room is located. Ada smiles as she enters there. 

[All her memories come rushing to her.]

"This is my room.", she smiles at Bora. 

[The room is spacious enough for her comfy bed. There's a stack of pictures and artwork on the wall where the bed is. On the sidewall, next to the bed, lies a bookshelf. The sunlight passes through the windows into the table placed in front of the bed. Bora takes a look around the room.] 

He smiles. "It's very nice. You grew up here?", he asks. 

Ada nods. "Evet. This is my life.", she smiles.

Bora approaches the wall and looks at the pictures and artwork hung in there. 

"I painted these when I was at school. I used to paint a lot but now I don't have time to do that.", Ada speaks. 

Bora is amazed looking at the artwork. "Wow, these are amazing. You are a really great artist. You should work on them again.", he says smiling at Ada. Then his eyes land on a picture on the wall. The picture is of a smiling man who is holding a little girl by the sea. He smiles looking at it. "Is this you?", he asks.

"Evet. That was the last picture when my baba was there. I don't remember it but it's the sea next to my school.", Ada replies smiling.

"You were always so beautiful and bright.", he says smiling at the picture. Ada smiles. 

Then he turns to her and comes near her. He holds her hands. "Ada, I can't make up the past but I promise you, I will do everything to keep you happy as you were here from now on.", he looks at her intently. 

Ada smiles looking at him. "I'm sure you will."

Then Bora wraps his hands around her and hugs her. His embrace makes her feel safe. After a while, he loosens the grip to caress her face. He gazes at her with love. Then he kisses her forehead and hugs her again. Bora holds her tighter as he looks at the picture on the wall.
