This is a poem I wrote down for a competition when I was around eleven or twelve years old. I hope you enjoy it. =)
Staring out into the ocean with its infinite hues of blue
I felt the breeze hit my clothes as it did to my fragile mind too
Watching the endless parade of waves crashing the seashore
Listening to the calming sound I very much adore
Admiring it reflecting the color of the light blue sky
Remembering a memory with each wave that passes by
And just seeing those waves returning back to the seabed
Reminded me of all the countless goodbyes I’ve said
Uncountable sea gulls began to fill the sky like in normal days
Admiring the view made me feel the warmth of the sun rays
And the joy of the sea gulls soaring the skies together
Believing that they will remain close to each other
But sadly, it was destined to last for a short while
For each sea gull went its own way wiped away my smile
Suddenly I felt that every part of my body has weaken
For as the golden sun raised brightly high above the horizon
The thick majestic white clouds began to disappear
And soon the endless sky was finally crystal clear
And everything I greatly enjoyed this day was gone
Alas there was nothing left but the farewell sun
