Chapter 6

Lia's POV

"You are 4 weeks pregnant" The doctors explains

It has been awhile since I beat up Luke. I have been avoiding him and I am currently at my first doctor's appointment. I decided to keep the baby. I don't have the heart to kill it. I have made it clear that I am never letting Luke see the baby though.

"Although that means we cannot do an ultrasound yet, it is still too early."

"Ok, when will I be able to get an ultrasound?" I ask the doctor

"At about 6 weeks is when we will be able to do an ultrasound."

"Oh ok, thank you. When will my next appointment be?"

"Let's do it in two weeks. You can schedule one in the check-out area."

"Ok, Thank you. I look forward to seeing you then." I say peppily

I am still shocked about everything that has gone on in the past month. I haven't told my aunt because I know she doesn't like Luke and wouldn't approve of me even going to see him to talk. I have been staying at Ellie's house, her parents have been surprisingly supportive, too. They said they would kick Ellie out if she got pregnant this early. I guess it's because it wasn't on purpose.

After I get the next appointment booked I head out to my car. I get in and head to Ellie's house. Once I get there I spill the news to Ellie and we decide to go out for ice cream since I need a little break. After all, we didn't get to do the graduation celebration like we were going to do.

After ice cream we go to the mall. I am glad we get to do the things we used to do before everything happened.

"Come on, let's go to the baby store!!! Please! I finally have an excuse to go." Ellie begs

"Ellie, we don't even know if the baby is a boy or girl. What will we get?"

"Ummm, Maternity stuff???"

"Nooo! I'm not ready for that stuff yet." I exclaim the laugh.

We get some clothes from Hot Topic and Rue 21, even though I know they won't fit me for too long. We went to the new jewelry store that I found last time I came to the mall. I don't get anything, but Ellie gets some new earrings. I don't spend too much money because I am super close to being able to rent an apartment. I know that Ellie said I can stay with her, but I don't want to be a burden.

We head back to my best friend's house and I try on some of the new clothes trying different outfit styles.

"Dang girl! You're gonna be one of those cool mom's who has style."

I roll my eyes and go to change back into my original outfit. We decided to watch a movie afterward, but I didn't pay much attention to the movie. I was on my phone looking stuff up most of the time. I know I am only 4 weeks along, but I want to be prepared. Once Ellie notacises what I am doing she snatches my phone.

"Girl, we are watching a movie, get off your phone. I know you are worried, but you have to let loose." She says.

I sigh "Fineee" I get comfy and cuddle up to Ellie. I doze off..

(Two hours later)

I wake up and look at the time, it's 8 pm. Dang I think to myself I must've fallen asleep. I walk downstairs and see Ellie's mom cooking something. So I go up to her and ask if she needs any help and she shoo's me off and tells me to rest. Ellie and her dad are playing a board game. I just stand there looking around wishing I had a perfect family like Ellie's. Well when her parents aren't fighting. I walk into the living room and sit next to Ellie. I observe the game without saying anything. They are playing sorry. It was one of my favorite games to play before the accident. The accident..... I hadn't thought of it till now. I still wonder what it is that mom's not telling me.

I realized I forgot my phone upstairs, so I ran up and got it and I got a text from a random number. -Get out of there you are in danger. Run away and leave the state. People are coming after you.- Anonymous. I don't text back thinking it's just a random number trying to scare me. Just seconds later I get a text from Luke -I know you don't trust me and I know what I did was wrong but you have to run! You are not safe here. Meet me at our cafe. I will explain there, but I can't say much stuff on text. Meet there in 15.- I don't respond not knowing what to think. Should I go and meet him? What if it's true? What if I am in danger?

I tell Ellie that I have to go. That's an emergency. I dash out and start my car. I speed to the cafe almost getting pulled over. I see Luke standing by his car as soon as I get there. I get out of the car and walk up to him. He grabs my wrist and pulls me into his car and holds a cloth over my mouth. Darkness overcomes me.
