Aftermath

 Life happened in a blur as I lowered my/ almost lifeless son into the paramedic's arms, they allowed me inside the ambulance. After they did the usual the female paramedic checked his left ribcage, her eyes widened. She muttered something to the other paramedic

"Oh sh!t" I heard the female mutter silently, she started fumbling with something I didn't understand. 

"N28.9," She said loudly. 

They rushed Tommy into the building, but one doctor took notice of me. He walked over and motioned for me to follow him. 

The man had long green hair, it was thick and messy. He was currently wearing a white lab coat and was leading me to a waiting room. 

"My brother should come here to get you to sign some documents soon"

I thanked the man and waited patiently for his so-called brother. A raccoon hybrid walked through the door moments later. 

"Hello, my name is Sam Nook. Your Mr.Minecraft, correct?" 

"Yes I am" 

"I'm happy to inform you that your son is still alive" 

I let out a breath that I must've been holding ever since Tubbo told us the news.

"But on the way here we found out his kidney is failing" 

"I have the money for it and health insurance just please keep him alive" 

Sam Nook gave me a soft look and handed me a clipboard. I read through it and signed the bottom. Almost exactly after I handed him the clipboard two boys burst in. 

"Dad, Techno literally almost hit a child" 

"To my defense, he was an orphan" 

"YOUR AN ORPHAN" Wilbur yelled. 

Techno gasped dramatically. They bickered for a few more minutes until they finally just sat. 

"Is Tommy okay?" Wilbur asked. 

"He needs a kidney" 

"Doesn't a kidney evaluation take months?" Techno asked. 

He's right... Why did they realize he needs a kidney so quickly?

"Hello, you can see Tommy now," A nurse told us. 

I stood up and followed the nurse into a room. Tommy was under a strange-looking blanket. 

"That's a special blanket made for Tommy's condition " She said calmly, a few seconds later a doctor came in looking somber. 

"As you may know, it can take weeks sometimes to figure out if kidneys are failing," 

I nodded, gesturing for him to continue. He gulped. 

"Well your son already only has one" 

"What?" I asked with confusion. 

"In a shooting his mother and father died, but he wasn't left untouched either. His medical records report that he was shot at the scene after his parents. Specifically in the kidney" 

I gasped, I didn't know Tommy had been shot. That horrible orphanage must've just ignored that vital detail in his life. 

"Since his life were in the hands of social services, they chose the cheaper option of just removing it completely" 

I pondered on his words for a second, so much added trauma in his story. 

"Can I get the tests for kidney transplants?" I asked. 

"Tommy appears to be human, if you were to get a kidney transplant it would have to be from a human"

"Dad" 

I turned to look at Wilbur. 

"Are you sure?" I asked. 

"I might not even get positive" Wil said. 

"I'd like to get Wilbur tested" 

The doctor motioned for Wilbur to follow him and Wilbur did. I haven't even gotten to adopt Tommy and he already may die, I felt a vibration come from my phone.

I stood up and followed Techno to the doctor. Leaving my unconscious son under his blanket.
