Soyoung sat on a bench. Since her date with Hyunjin in the sushi restaurant would only begin in 10 minutes, she decided to pass the time in a nearby park.

So, she sat on a bench with her phone, going through her phone's gallery to delelte some of her photos since her phone informed her about 100 times that her storage was full. Because she had no intentions to delete the hundreds of downloaded Enhypen photos, she decided to go through her camera roll.

She sat there in silence, ignoring every other noise besides her own humming, when suddenly someone slapped her shoulders with both of their hands and a male voice shouted 'boo'.

"What the fucking fuck is this supposed to mean-"
The sudden move scaring her to death, Soyoung jumped up and turned around to throw hands whoever dared to disturb her peace.

She found Hyunjin standing behind her, clutching his stomach as he laughed at the girl's reaction.
"Oh, it's just you."

"You're really not scary with that dog picture." After he had calmed down, he pointed to the girl's phone which was showing a photo of Daewon's (her sister's boyfriend) dog, a small shi-tzu.

"I don't know why are you saying that, Mop is the scariest dog in the world, 9/10 burglars wouldn't recommend."

The boy raised an eyebrow while Soyoung put away her phone.
"Its name is Mop?"

The girl shrugged. "Nobody is quite right in the head in our family, you may have noticed that."

"Your sister's boyfriend is considered as part of your family?"

"Of course." Soyoung glanced at the boy with a frown, then opened her arms for a hug, as they had always did that as a greeting.

Hyunjin closed the gap between them, gladly accepting the hug. Though the boy didn't usually hug his female friends, ever since the meeting in the café where he revealed his deepest secrets to Soyoung, he had a lot of skinship with the girl and he liked that.

"Shall we go to the restaurant now, my lady?" Soyoung bowed playfully to the boy who crossed his arms.

"That's you."

"Then my boy."

"That's a Billie Eilish song."

The girl also crossed her arms, huffing. "I will eat your sushi."

Hyunjin chuckled, offering her arm to the girl as a way of offering peace. "Okay, I'll stop just please don't eat my sushi."

"We'll see." She grinned, gladly putting her arm around Hyunjin's.

As the two were sitting in the sushi restaurant and waited for food, they started chatting.

"Since it's a first date, I think it's appropriate that we play 20 questions."
Soyoung glanced at her friend who raised an eyebrow.

"Soyoung, we're friends."

"And? This is a must on a first date."

"Fine." Hyunjin sighed. One thing he had learnt ever since the two become friends is that one must not argue with the girl if he doesn't want to loose his braincells.
"You start."

"Okay. Do you have any siblings?"

"No. You?"

"I have a sister who's 22 years old. Do you have any pets?"

"Are we seriously doing this?" The boy sighed and looked up to the ceiling dramatically.

"Yes. I don't have pets, do you?"

"I have a dog called Kkami. What's your favourite color?"

"Black, as you can see." The girl pointed to her outfit, black from head to toe. Or, shirt to shoe.
"Are you single?"

The guy deadpanned, done with the girl's dumb questions. "No, I have a wife and three kids."

The waitress who had just returned with their plates, coughed to surpress a chuckle.
"Here's your order. Please enjoy the food."

"Thank you." Soyoung smiled at the young woman who bowed then walked away quickly. The girl then turned back to Hyunjin while grabbing her chopsticks.
"Looking for an affair, are you? Don't worry, I'm good at hiding."

The guy, who was sipping water choked both because of the girl's words and playful wink. After some coughing, he put down the glass of water and glared at Soyoung.
"I'm gonna threw this napkin at you."

"Oh, am I embarrassing you?" She wiggled her eyebrows but stopped once she saw the very subtle middle finger Hyunjin had lifted up.
"Okay, okay. Next question: Do you sleep with the light off or on?"

"Off."

"Good. Morning bird or night owl?"

"Is this an interrogation or 20 questions? It's my turn." The boy raised an eyebrow to which Soyoung sheepishly muttered a sorry.
"Are you a morning bird or a night owl?"

"I do graffiti at night, what do you think?"

"Fair enough."

The girl smirked. "How do you like your eggs in the morning?"

The answer she got was a napkin folded into a ball, hitting her right in the forehead.

After they finished eating, Hyunjin offered to walk Soyoung home, as he always did whenever they hung out. He said it was to prevent her getting kidnapped but he knew it was more of him wanting to spend more time with her.

So that was he did, reflecting their first date while Soyoung blabbered something about cats wearing rain boots.

"But like, why would they need rain boots? It's not like they walk in rivers or anything."

"How do you think wild cats catch fish?"

The girl hesitated. "But cats-"

"You know that cats fish, don’t you?"

"Yeah.. Obviously." But it didn't look obvious.

The boy grabbed Soyoung's forearm to pull her closer while laughing. "You're so dumb."

"You can't say that, you failed the biology exam last year." She retorted, grabbing Hyunjin's hand to get it off her arm but when she did so, the girl didn't let go of the other's hand.

"Yeah? And where did you get that information from?" Hyunjin raised his eyebrows, not noticing their joined hands and letting them swing.

The two walked down the street while bickering on who's dumber, holding hands as if it was natural.
