"so remind me again why you said no to a guy you actually like?" Ayesha asked me as we sat in a cafe
"I didn't say no I just left" I told her
"for what reason" she asked
"I- Leave her alone Ayesha and let her think" Aja said
"thank you"
"he's actually a great man and I would love for him to be my husband but isn't it too early" I asked
"theres no such thing as too early or too late, let me ask you when death comes do you think God is going to ask you is it too early?" Ayesha asked
"deep" Aja said
"thank you thank you" Ayesha laughed
It was going on two weeks now since the last time Sean even spoke to me. Whenever he was at the shop, he was either at his office or the barbershop. When I leave in the morning, he would wait until I left to leave. He was leaving in 3 days
"look don't do it if you honestly think that its not for you but if whats holding you back is because you think is too early than baby its time for you to enter the real world" Aja said
"Say it again" the owner of the cafe Ms. Marimba said
"did you know that me and my husband got married a week after knowing each other?" she said
"WHAT?" we all said
"yep, I talked to my dad and then I made prayer now look at us 16 years in with 4 children and we couldn't be happier" she said
"now i'm not saying thats how your story will go but you will never know if whats holding you back is because of time because time doesn't wait for nobody" she said
"I got to go" I said paying for my coffee and donuts
"Salam" they said
"salam" I replied
I didn't have class today, and the shop was closed so I went to my dads gravesite
"As-salamu alaikum" I told the security
"Wa alaikum salam" he replied
"how are you" I asked
"good how about you"
"alhamdulillah (thank god) can't complain"
"thats good, have a good one"
"you too"
I walked in and went straight to my dads grave, I made prayer for all of everyone that was in their grave and sat in front of my dad while brushing the leaves that was on top of his grave
