Today started like any other. The sun was up and we laid in bed together both not having work today like we normally do. We got up and dressed to get some food. We got home and relaxed together watching tv and eating not really saying anything to each other. There was no warning that today would be the day that changes things. Anthony got called into work and right before he walked out the door, Benjamin dropped the bomb. He wanted to put a pause on the wedding stuff, he said they were moving to fast and that he never planned on getting married this quick. All Anthony could do was hold back tears and say okay as he bolted out the door. He didn't even make it to the car before tears streamed down his face. All he could think was Benjamin proposed to him, they were just talking about starting a family in a year and now all of that changes. Anthony drove to work in silence not really sure what to think, does this mean they were over? Are they back to boyfriends or are they still engaged? When he pulled up to work he sat in the car and started to text Benjamin needing answers to all the questions in his head. Benjamin told him nothing changes they are still together they just need to work on their relationship before they get married. Did Anthony do something to screw this relationship up to? Anthony started going back in his head trying to pin point when things started to change. Eventually he knew that doing that wouldn't help anything it would just drive him crazy. He stated to think about the signs, Benjamin not touching him as much. Would he ever touch him again? The kisses being less long, Will they ever kiss like that again? Him no longer calling Anthony cute little nicknames as much. Anthony started to feel like a part of him was fading not knowing what to say to people when he told them the wedding was postponed. He pulled out his phone and told his family and a few friends, before he could tell anyone else his phone started blowing up with text and calls asking why? what happened? The one question he got asked that hurt the most was "What did you do?" as if this person knew already that it was his fault. Eventually Anthony left work and started to head home, a little part of him hoping Benjamin was asleep by the time he got there so it would be less awkward. He walked inside and started putting his stuff from work away and he heard Benjamin's foot steps. He hugged him from behind, Anthony fumbled with his back pack looking for his ring to put back in the box Benjamin gave it to him in. He put the ring in the box and Benjamin told him to turn around, so Anthony faced towards him and Benjamin gave him a hug and kiss on the forehead. They both went and laid in bed just playing on their phones not really saying much. Eventually Benjamin got tired and ready for bed so Anthony went to the kitchen to cook himself some dinner and clean up the kitchen to try and distract himself. He sat down to eat and went on his phone to scroll through Facebook as he continued to receive messages asking about the wedding. Anthony finished his food and decided to go to bed as he starter to fall asleep he thought "Please just let this be a bad dream" but alas this was no dream.
