<Flowers, A Yoongi (bts) Drabble>

this drabble uses she/her pronouns!

----

She scrolled through her instagram, constantly getting posts of couples going out on cute dates and gifting each other flowers. The more she scrolled through her feed, more of these posts and pictures came up. With that, she glanced towards her boyfriend, laying on the bed with his arm over his face, covering both of his eyes as his chest went up and down at the slow pace, steadily breathing.

"We never really do anything together, Yoongi" she started, however didn't earn any response from the male. "We don't go on dates, we rarely do things with each other, we rarely spend time with each other because of your long hours at work."

"I know babe, but you know how it is, I go to work first thing in the morning, come back after midnight, and most of the time I'm home I'm probably asleep or feel extremely tired. I'm so sorry that you don't get to have a love life like all your other friends." Yoongi spoke out softly, still half asleep. He removed his arm from his face and pat the area beside him on the bed, telling her to come over.

She sat still on the round couch in the corner of the bedroom, and continued scrolling.

"You know sometimes I just wish we could go on cute little dates and spend time with each other every once in a while." She exited out of the app, putting her phone down at last.

"I wish we could do that too love" he yawned.

"Then why not take a few days off and spend some time with me, it gets a bit boring without you, you know?"

Yoongi sighed, knowing very well he couldn't do that. His boss didn't let anybody take days off that easily, he only let people be absent if there's an emergency, other than those, no one was allowed to take days off of work.

He didn't answer.

"Yoongi?"

"Look-"

"Ah I guess you can't do that" she sounded a bit disappointed.

"I'm sorry.."

"You never bought me flowers.."

Yoongi was agitated from all the stress work was giving him, he wasn't really in an awesome mood. He wanted to spend his Saturday night in bed, just taking some rest and getting his mind off the stress. Him being overly stressed didn't help anything, he was raging with impatience and was about to burst anytime soon.

"Look if you think me being busy with work and not having time to buy you stupid flowers is an equivalent to being a bad boyfriend then you could just stop wasting your time on me."

"I never said-"

"I told you that it's not my choice that I don't get to spend much time with you but I try my best to stay with you when I can, you can't at least acknowledge that?" Yoongi sat up, clearly upset and a bit mad

This ticked her off, her eyebrows furrowed as she put her phone down.

"I don't what?"

"You don't acknowledge the fact that I'm here with you whenever I'm free."

"Oh yeah?" She stood up, walking towards the bed and stood in front of him. "Who waits for you to come home every night to warm food up for you? Who waits until you're done eating to put you in bed and lay next to you playing with your hair while you try to sleep? Who let's you rant about what went wrong at work?" Her voice rose a bit, annoyed. "Since I obviously don't care about the time you spend with me at home, i definitely don't do those, do I?"

"Then can you stop complaining about me not spending enough time with you?" Yoongi stood up as well, the argument getting heated. "It's honestly annoying when you know I can do nothing about it but you still complain."

"Complain? Who complained?" She fired back, "I said I 'wished' that we could spend more time together, no one's complaining, you're the one who took things out of context!"

"Who just said that I didn't gift you flowers before?"

"That literally wasn't a complaint, I was just merely stating the fact that you never bought me any flowers, that's it?"

"Is a bunch of useless flowers gonna help you in any way? It's just a waste of money after all, those things sit in a vase for two days and start to dry out or rot." Yoongi never backed down.

Her anger turned into tears as her eyes glistened under the dim lamplight, tears fighting to escape the corners of her eyes.

"I don't care if a bunch of pretty petals only last for two days, what I care is that someone took their time and bought them for me, and gifted it to me hoping that I would like it." Her tears started streaming down her cheeks, not of sadness, but because of her anger.

"You're so fucking annoying." Yoongi fired, not thinking anything through as the 4 words slipped out of his lips.

It was too late now.

"Oh?"

Yoongi's rage filled eyes softened after he realized what he just did. His lips slightly apart, he fell into a loss of words as he stared at her in front of him.

"Oh I know, I am annoying."

Yoongi couldn't do anything as he watched her walk over to the cabinet, take out the car keys and storm out of the door. The dim rev of the car's engine reached Yoongi's ears, him running to the window just to witness the grey car drive off their driveway and out of view.

He sat down on the bed and buried his head into his palms, cursing under his breath.

"I'm fucked"

--

Tears blurred her view as she drove aimlessly through the streets not sure where to go.

The steering wheel never stopped turning as she kept leading the vehicle through winding streets and roads, just driving around with no destination whatsoever.

Her eyesight started blurring again when she recalled what just happened, anger resulting in her foot applying more pressure onto the accelerator pedal, mind not working correctly.

And the last thing she remembered was a loud screech and a sharp swerve.

------
*A week later*

Yoongi's sneakers lightly tapped against the ground as he walked with a bouquet of flowers in his arms.

It wasn't huge or anything that looked extraordinary, just a few different sorts of flowers assorted and tied together in a visually pleasing way. The brown paper that held the flowers together crinkled with Yoongi's grip on it.

"So hey..." Yoongi started, "I really hope you're not mad at me about that day anymore.. I'm really sorry for lashing out, I wasn't thinking straight and that sentence just... Slipped out. I'm so sorry.. and uh.."

Yoongi hesitated a bit, stopping to take a deep breath. The brown paper crinkled again.

"I got you flowers.." he spoke softly as he placed the bouquet on her grave.
