Charlotte's POV
Sitting across from me on this long glass table, his shoulders back with perfect posture. The place is gorgeous, candle light and flowers in the centre but not too big to cover my view from his perfect features, the centre pieces don't steal the spotlight...he does. Candle light fills the garden, the garden filled with breath-taking flowers, they're colourful and would sure steal the spotlight if it was bright and sunny but it's dark with moonlighting above the candles giving it a romantic vibe. The dull flickering lighting of the candles create a shadow across his face, he smirks as the waiter startles me by pouring wine into the tall glass.
It looks like he has put a lot of effort into this, I like it. It's not summer anymore so it's a little chilly but once I've had some wine and food in me the chill will disappear. When the waiter walks away from the table Magic speaks up for the first time since escorting me to the table. "How was your day?", he asks a simple question. He did say he has something to tell me but I guess he's easing into it.
"It was okay", I shrug, "It was weird not seeing Isabella in the kitchen this morning but then I pretty much got dragged to get ready for tonight", I let out a short laugh. "How was the flight?"
He nods, "Isabella is actually in an apartment waiting for her family to arrive, I gave her a week off with pay", he tells me like it isn't a big deal.
I choke on my wine and after composing myself, "Really?", I say wide-eyed, "Her family are coming here?", he nods in response. "Magic...that's amazing! Thank you for doing that for her", the information overwhelming me.
He nods pressing his lips together, "The flight was good", he changes the subject. He picks up his glass and sips on his wine, his eyes not moving from mine. "You look good tonight"
I look down my body to my black dress, "Thank you", I smile and look back up to his bright blue eyes.
"Or every night for that matter", he mumbles under his breath, he leans forward on the table keeping his gaze on me, "I hope you're hungry because they're whipping up a lot of great food", he leans his head on his knuckles with his elbow on the table.
"I'm starving", I nod.
Just on time a bowl is placed in front of me, I look up to another waiter placing the same thing in front of Magic. Another two waiters place different kinds of bread at either side of the table. When the waiters leave I peer down to the bowl, "This is roasted tomato soup, I managed to score the best French chief I know"
I pick up my spoon and give it a taste and it's the best soup I think I've ever tasted in my life, "Hmmm, It's lovely", I glance up to him. He's staring at me and hasn't begun eating yet.
We eat the soup with a little chitchat back and forth, it was mainly about the food. The bread was just as good, it must've just been baked because it was warm. I loved the tiger bread dipped in the soup the most I think.
"What's your favourite meal?", he asks as the waiters take away our empty bowls.
I hum trying to think, "Probably something simple like pizza", I giggle at how plain it is, "What about you?"
"Probably something with meat in it, I don't have one. Well, I probably have multiple actually because I couldn't eat the same thing all the time. If it's your favourite meal then you have to love it enough to eat it all the time"
I nod, "Well with pizza you can pretty much put anything on it and you'd be getting a different meal each time", I debate.
"That is true but it's always on dough", he raises his hands like he won the debate.
