Everyone wants to be the main character in the story. Everyone want to be one of the main people. What about the people in the background? Ever person can make a difference in what happens. History of the world happens because of the normal people in the crowd.
Don't ever think you aren't important. You are the main character in your own story. If someone was reading a book from your perspective, right now, they would think it was one of the most cliche things ever! Of coarse, the story starts when the main plot happens. In your case, you. You are oh so important.
You might not "Stand out in the crowd," as they say. Maybe you completely blend in. Always remember, you are the main character in your own story. Not a single person can take that away from you by saying "Oh they are the bystander/sidekick." Without you, the entire plot would be completely different in someone else's story.
"900 years of time and space, and I have never meet anyone who wasn't important." ~The Doctor (Doctor Who)
