After a crazy party last night at the Great Hall, the next morning was a brand new day and Toothless was back on banging on the roof again.

Hiccup wasn't annoyed this time and he welcomed the antics of his dragon. He sat up and yawned while rubbing his eyes and looking at the roof.

He went downstairs and was careful not to wake his dad up before opening the door. He stepped out and closed it behind him before he gazed out to the village. Toothless' impatient roars can be heard as well as laughter from a certain blonde.

"I'm coming, Toothless!" He called out to him as he walked to the side of the house and saw Emily standing there and was taken by surprise by her new look.

"Whoa. New clothes?" He asked as she nodded.

"Yup. I made them out of shedded dragon scales." She said as Hiccup shook his head in amusement before turning to Toothless.

"Alright, bud, come on down. I was just-" Hiccup started but paused when he saw that Toothless has their old flying gear.

"Toothless, what'd you pull this out for? You don't need this anymore. Come on, let's get going." Hiccup said as he pushed the saddle aside and tried to get on him but Toothless moved away from him which confused Hiccup.

"Would you quit fooling around? You have your new tail now." Hiccup told him but Toothless won't let him on his back as he looks at the saddle and Hiccup.

"Toothless?" He questioned in confusion.

"Hiccup, I think he's trying to tell you something." Emily said as Optimus watched.

Toothless look at him before lifting his tail to see the new tailfin. He appreciated the gift but it wasn't what he wanted and needed. During his search for his rider's helmet, he felt incomplete with Hiccup. It wasn't the same without his beloved rider. Toothless then looked at Hiccup again before he started to destroy it much to Hiccup's shock.

"Toothless! Stop! What are you doing?" Hiccup tried to stop him but the tail was already destroyed as Toothless pulled up the old gear again.

Toothless gave Hiccup a sad and pleading look and nudged the gear with his paw. Hiccup finally realizes that Toothless only needs him to help him fly again cause that's where they truly are one.

"Toothless appreciated the gift you made for him but it's not the same as flying without you, Hiccup." Emily said as Hiccup looked at the two and started to smile.

He quickly changed into his flying gear and the four of them took to the skies.

Hiccup: Winter in Berk lasts most of the year. It hangs on with both hands and won't let go.

Emily: And the only real comforts against the cold are those you keep close to your heart.

The four of them were enjoying the flight as Hiccup and Toothless prepared to do a stunt with Emily and Optimus.

"Okay, guys, are you ready?" Hiccup asked as Toothless nodded.

"Let's do this!" Emily said before she jumped off Optimus' back and was in free fall.

Hiccup smiled and unhooks himself from the saddle and somersault off Toothless' back and they followed Emily down with Optimus flying down after them. They were having the time of their lives as they enjoyed and savored the feeling of the wind rushing past them.

Hiccup: Turns out, that was the best Snoggletog ever. That year, I gave my best friend a pretty great gift.

Emily: It's gonna be the most unforgettable holiday of the year. Discovering where the dragons went and reuniting with friends. But nothing can replace the gift that two of our best friends have given to me and Hiccup.

They quickly got back on their dragons' backs and Hiccup whooped while Emily cheered. They swooped up above the treeline.

Both: They gave us a better one.

Both Emily and Hiccup looked at each other with a smile. There's nothing that could replace the gift of their two dragons and it can never be replaced by presents: Their friendship.
