Peppermint Tea ducked behind a tree as a root slammed the spot where he was standing. He was beaten and bruised. The battle with Black Tea hadn't gone the way he or Lemon wanted. They were separated by an explosion. Everything after that was a blur to Peppermint. He just remembered running towards the forest to seek cover. He started to run again, avoiding the swipes from the root. He fumbled with his wand before turning and throwing a spell at it. The root stopped for a second as a coat of ice froze it in place but soon the ice began to crack and it burst through. It knocked Peppermint into a nearby tree. Peppermint fell to the ground with a vicious crack. The tree started to fall right where he lay and he tried to get out of the way but he was too late. The tree landed on his leg trapping him. He winced as pain ripped through his body and tried to wiggle his leg away. The ground shifted underneath him and soon more roots rose up and formed a mossy beast. Panic rose in Peppermints throat but it didn't slow his brain down. The beast lifted its fist and brought it down on Peppermint only for it to be stopped. A glowing green shield had formed around Peppermint, protecting him. The beasts glowing green eyes narrowed and once again it slammed its wooden fist on the shield. Peppermint winced as he heard his shield crack. Soon, there would be nothing more to protect him. He closed his eyes as another attack cracked his shield. There was truly no way out of this other then to accept what was going to happen. The monster pounded the shield again, this time shattering it. Peppermint breathed in deeply and closed his eyes as the beasts fist came down.

A voice shouted through the forest and white streaks split across the sky. They wrapped around the beast and trapped it. Peppermint looked to where the voice had come from and saw Latte running up to him.

"Latte what are you doing here?" He croaked. She smiled at him.

"I wasn't about to let you risk your life while I stand in the middle of nowhere feeling helpless." She said and levitated the tree upwards. She dragged Peppermint away and propped him up against a tree. The monster roared with fury and with a vicious push of strength, broke the white bonds that held it. It roared at the two, showing its sharp branch like teeth.

Latte pointed her staff at the beast and yelled a spell. A light brown streak shot out of the staff forcing the monster back a step. Latte gritted her teeth and put all of her strength into the spell but nothing worked. The moster put its hand in front and pushed back. Peppermint Tea narrowed his eyes in determination as he stood up. He stood beside Latte and pointed his wand at the beast. With one word he sent a stream of glowing green toward it. It growled as it battled the 2 magics. It no longer walked forward but it still stood its ground. Then something strange happened. The 2 streams started to twist together, forming a bond as they shot toward the beast. Cracks formed in the bark and soon they began to spread up the arm.  The monster roared  and pulled its hand away. It scratched at the cracks that now had begun to grow bigger. Latte and Peppermint didn't falter  as the beast started to fall apart. A hideous scream sounded from the beats as the cracks reached its head. The monster then exploded leaving nothing to say it was there.

Peppermint fell to the ground from exhaustion and winced at the pain in his leg. Latte knelt beside him.

"Y'know... that's not supposed to be possible. The 2 magics combining, I mean." Peppermint said as Latte helped him back up.

"Heck it's not even possible to defeat that kind of tea magic." He added.

"What do you mean?" Latte asked.

"Tea magic, in it's most powerful form has no weakness. That monster back there, there's no way that wasn't a more powerful form tea magic."

Peppermint stopped for a moment and looked at Latte.

"Latte, we just did the impossible."
