Chapter 9.

I was standing over Ava, trying to wake her up after she fainted. I herded the boys outside before anything worse happened. Dad was down next to her, trying to shake her awake. "Ava! Ava my baby, wake up!" Pop said, trying to make Ava conscious again. "Pumpkin! Devon this isn't good! She's been passed out longer than ever before!" Dad said, looking extremely worried. "I'm gonna call 911!" 

"Hang on, let me try something!" I yelled before Pop could dial. I grabbed one of the glasses of water from off the table and splashed it into Ava's face. She immediately started coughing and shot up. "Wait, wha-" "Pumpkin! Are you alright?!" "Oh god, we were so worried about you! You weren't coming to as fast as usual!" Pop said, kneeling down and holding Ava to his chest. 

"I am here to help! Hua!" Marco said, coming up and splashing Ava with a big bucket of water. "Okay!" I said, stepping back, just in time to avoid the water. "Ah! Cold!" Ava whimpered, wrapping her arms around herself, trying to warm up. "Here. I said, taking my jacket off and handing it to Ava. "Brr! Thanks, Y/N!" "Anytime."

"Oh, uh! She's awake." "Thank you for your assistance, Marco. Uh, we can take it from here." Dad said. I zoned out of their conversation and tried to help Ava dry off. "Just letting you know, this is your fault." I whispered, slightly smirking. "Yah, thanks for reminding me, ya jerk." she whispered back, trying to make sure I didn't hear that last part. 

"Alright. But, what should I tell their boyfriends?" "Wait, Noi? Oh no, where is, where are they?" Ava started muttering to herself. "We asked them to wait outside." I said, giving her a reassuring look and a pat on the shoulder before helping her stand up. "Also, Ava, Y/N. You two have some explaining to do." Yep, I was right. This is gonna be a headache. 

We walked outside to see the guys arguing amongst themselves. "She's alright Noi. And friends?" Dad said, uncertainly. "Ava, do you care to tell us what's going on?" I just took a big step back and tried to look anywhere but where the drama was. But I still listened in because it was where the drama was. 

"Uhm, well, you see-" "I would like for Ava's hand in marriage." And insert pained velociraptor screeching curtesy of me. Asch looked at me worriedly. I noticed and gave him a thumbs up, showing him that I was only laughing. He gave me a quick amused smile before turning back to Dad, Pop, and Ava. "No! I'm marrying her!" Noi said, looking like the angry cinnamon roll he is. 

"That's right Noi! You fight for your girl!" Pop said, encouraging all this mayhem. And honestly I might have done that too if I wasn't rolling on the ground. "Pop!" "Devon! What are you doing?" "Silence! I'm marrying Princess Y/N!" Hol up. I stopped rolling and my laughter switched to dead silence. I froze hunched over and started to feel my face turn into fire. 

On the other hand, Pop's eye lit up as he looked at Asch and then down to me. "Aww! Princess!" All of a sudden Leif popped up next to me. "If you want strong offspring, I suggest-" "Me. I am suited-" "No! I was going to say me!" "Back off! Both of you." Asch said, getting in between me and Leif, making sure to hold on to me. 

"What does offspring mean?" Ava said, face completely red. Dad quickly covered her ears and started rambling and arguing with everyone. I'm pretty sure I zoned out for everything else except Asch basically telling all the other Daemos to fuck off whenever they tried to get close or talk about being with me in some way. 

Eventually Dad got everyone to start walking back to the apartment. I started to shiver and looked around noticing that a few leaves had started to fall. Well I mean, it is the beginning of October. I should have just told Ava to bring a jacket. I sighed and wrapped my arms around myself to try to keep warm. 

All of a sudden, I felt something on my shoulders. I turned to see Asch looking away, but still putting his jacket around my shoulders. "Don't think anything of it! I just don't want you to freeze. B-because I need to keep you alive!" he said, getting flustered. Everyone else looked back at us in confusion before turning back forward.
