Chapter 5

Third POV:

Liyue was just, breathtaking.

The winds softly blew between buildings, and people were running around the place. Without any sort of fear showing in their faces. It was more of worry, panic, cheerfulness, or happiness on them.

You felt extremely excited, but also jealous. The people here looked so happy, cheerful, and excited. Not fearful, sad, and ragged. It made you realize just how dreadful Inazuma truly was, and it made you wish that your people could feel the same.

As you continued to wander the streets, your mind drifted from one place to another. All the scents of food filled your nose, making you realize you were hungry and tired.

You walked to the nearest restaurant, meeting a navy blue-haired girl with a bear-looking plush at her side.

"Hello there!" The girl said,

"What can I get for you?"

"Uhm, I don't know," you reply, looking at their menu,

"All the food here sounds so good,"

"It all truly is," The girl replies,

"Would you like a recommendation?"

"Yes please," you answer,

"Okay then!" She says with glee,

"Coming right up!"

As she cooked, you watched. The bear at her side was just watching and making cute sounds from time to time.

"So, are you a traveler?" She asks, back still turned to you,

"Yes," you answer, going through your pack looking for some more,

"Ooo! I know someone who's a traveler too!" She says,

"They always have this flying fairy thing beside them who talks a lot, and they have saved both Liyue and Mondstat!"

"Really now?" You ask, enjoying this exchange of words,

"Yep!" She answers, "They fought and defeated an enemy that the Geo archon fought back in the archon war,"

A traveler who saved two major nations and beat an enemy fought by the Geo Archon himself? Impressive for someone who just appeared out of the blue not even a year ago.

You turned your attention back to your new friend, hearing her sigh, "I wish I could tell you the details but can't since I was told to evacuate by the millileth,"

"That's a pity," You shake your head, seeming as if you wanted to hear the details,

"What's your name?" You ask, curious of this new friend of yours,

"Xiangling," She returns, "and this is guoba!"
She says, pointing to the bear beside her,

You liked this girl. She was the first friend you have made outside of Inazuma before and was very glad to have met her.

"L/N Y/N" you tell her, smiling happily at her,

"Your from Inazuma?" She asked suprised,

"Yes," You answer,

"Wow!" Her eyes bloomed with curiosity, "What's the food like there?"

 
"Are there monsters that could be used as food?"

"Ooh! What about the chefs? Are they any good?"

Xiangling rocketed out question after question, and you just sat there patiently answering each one. All while you also showed her how to cook the few dishes you knew.

It felt nice finally being able to be out of the clutches of the shogun. Sadly you couldn't stay out of them forever.

A few hours passed and a blonde-haired boy came to the restaurant. With some kind of floating thing beside him.

"Oh, traveler!" Xiangling exclaimed, walking over to the boy,

That was the legendary traveler? He looks a bit young to be fighting dragons and Gods.

"Did you get the ingredients I asked for?" Xiangling inquired,

He said nothing but held out his hand with a few pieces of meat, plants, and...Slime condensate?

Xianglings face lit up with glee, "Thanks, traveler!"

She ran in excitement placing the meat on a cutting board, chopping it to pieces. This didn't seem the best time to inform the traveler that it was about time to head out to Beidous ship, so silent you stayed until the perfect moment came.

The traveler and his little fairy pet were watching her. The fairy things' eyes were filled with a desire for food, whilst the traveler was just standing there.

You were watching xiangling too. She was working fast, spreading the seasoning on the meat and heating up the pan.

After a few minutes, xiangling came out and served a plate of food to the traveler. He didn't really eat it, the fairy thing beside him gilded it down though. Almost too fast for you to comprehend.

The traveler gave their thanks to xiangling and began to head off. You quickly said your goodbyes too and trailed behind him.

"Traveller!" You call, finally managing to get into earshot of him.

He stopped, waiting for you to catch up.
And when you finally did he asked, "How can I help you?"

You gestured at him and replied, "Oh no I don't need any help, I'm just here on behalf of Captain Beidou,"

"Beidou?" The fairy thing interrupted,

"Yes," you respond,

"I never knew Beidou had a new recruit," The boy cocked his head at you in confusion,

"I'm more of a temporary recruit than an actual one,"

"Really now?"

"Yeah,"

"Are you here to take us to the Alcor?" The floaty thing asked,

"Yes, I am," You give them a smile, as you head toward the docks of Liyue,

HEYYY EVERYONEEE IM BACK FROM HIATUS

I apologize again for being on hiatus without any of you guys knowing, my things have been busy for me in the past few months and I haven't really had the time to write.

Even so I will try my best to update more often for you guys and will try to update once a week or month since things have gotten better for me.
